That does it then. I am going to march outside right now....and remove the poison traps and throw them out. I am done waiting for permission.....and then eventually Crusher can eat all the mice he wants. I have to listen to my instincts about this.......I have to.

I understand the one in the basement here...i do not want mice eating electrical wiring in the walls and starting fires in here....and i was scared by that information...what damage they can do to a house...and cats do not hunt mice in here anyway.

The cat hunting the mice is a more natural solution to the pest problem anyway.

i say leave the traps and get rid of the larger pests

having cats all over the place isnt natural

I sometimes imagine how it would be if cats were as free as birds and squirrels. I know that they'd be hunted the same; but I imagine them sitting free in the trees in parks, etc.

I say no. I have 4 cats, and one of them has no teeth, is tiny..... and cannot do any harm anyway. Another is big and fat and has been with me since 2003, and all he does all day is stay inside and sleep...My only 2 culprits are Crusher and Spanky and they are not going anywhere.

So I go into the huge shed to get poison trap, and what do I see scurrying to the side of the floor to go under floor...? Yup....a small dark grey thing......
damn, if 6k was not spent on that shed after my mom died to make it ok to store much of my mom's things in...before the floor was the ground, and now it is raised....with sides open....must be hundreds of mice underneath.

We had some sort of mice migration through our property several years ago. All one Winter they were here in the basement, in the attic, in the walls...Then they moved on.

Migration is all I can really call it.

I hadn't seen it before here and I haven't seen it since. I've been here 31 years.

What else would he be doing there all day and night? Just looking at them?

Speaking of this,....2 summers ago, before any cat went under this shed...I saw a mouse sitting inside the shed....dazed and confused...just looking at me...not moving at all....I thought then....the poison food trap, and the mouse is dieing.....I was sad, and started fighting to get rid of these poison food traps then...for the mice....I know plenty of things eat them outside, but i did not want to add to their demise then, It bothered me...so trap is gone now.

If I ever get to choose another animal (as opposed to be chosen by a cat or dog) I will choose a goat!

    I believe I would love having a goat, especially if it screams. WHY I want a screaming goat, I don't know...but I know I do!!! :D

I do know why I want a goat in general...so that it can be my living lawnmower.
