That's a sad situation all the way around.

 

The triplets' coach pulled them out of their tournament for tomorrow; so we're all going to watch their big sister play in her tournament tomorrow. It's been a long time since we were all at the same ballpark at the same time.

We dislike this new team the triplets are on this year. Their coach has pulled them out of 3 tournaments so far this season. I wish my son could have rounded up some more girls and kept his own team. Half of his team had to move up this year so the triplets and two others from their team joined this new crappy team.

 

Why is he pulling the team from tournaments? That doesn't seem very fair or sportsmanlike. You signed up, you got scheduled to play.....you follow through if at all possible.

 

I don't know what his excuse was tonight at 9:00 pm.

I know a few weekends ago he pulled out long about Tues/Wed and said it was due to possible rain. It was a beautiful weekend and it was later found out that he pulled it because he needed to move house that weekend.

 

As someone who has coached numerous sports, that shit is not acceptable for reasons to pull out. You don't just back out. The team deserves more than that.....even if they may not be the best team around. If the weather is bad enough, the league will cancel games. If you have shit to do, you should have planned better or made sure an assistant coach was available. It sounds like this guy isn't very dedicated.

 

Oh yeah....I might have forgot to tell you guys...I'm going to see Garth Brooks tomorrow night. I'm not a huge country fan at all but I do love Garth Brooks. He's playing 6 shows here and I guess we got tickets to the 10:30pm show tomorrow night so the traffic will probably crush my soul.

But seeing Garth Brooks should be pretty freaking awesome!!!

I just fell up the step coming back in the house from the garbage can.

The front of my sandal caught on the board. I guess I am tired and didn't lift my leg high enough.

I caught myself mostly. I spun and landed on my ass so I would fall on my knees.

Yay me.

It was just difficult to get up with nothing to hold on to.

Oh well. I lived and only a little place on my hand bled.

 

everyone who thinks their testosterone is gods gift to the planet pretty much fits that description for me.

 

Once you mentioned that, I tried to think of people like that who I know. I really don't think I'm friends with anyone like that anymore.....thankfully. But the guy I'm talking about is more the kind of guy who acts like he knows more than everyone else on any subject and always has to "one-up" whoever he's talking to in a (probably non-intentional) condescending manner. If he doesn't have a personal experience to "one-up" someone with, he will talk about some buddy of his who does or just try to kind of minimize the subject altogether.

 

First time I heard Prince had aids was in 1986. I was in the 8th grade. This was also a time in our public school when cable was a brand new thing and they would have movies day once a month .. An entire pod of kids watching movies like Flashdance, Purple Rain, Back to the future, Aliens, Karate Kid, Red Dawn uncut. Couldn't have that today some moms and sjws would be coming out the woodwork if ya shown an 8th grader rated R movies.. Best memories from this year was computers, the Adam was replaced by the Apple Macintosh. Pod is watching movies and myself and a couple others were in the computer lab. booting sounds take me back but so does signing on to AOL ..

A friend of mine said he was going camping out in the high desert near where the Bundy siege took place. So I told him that place was rich with obsidian arrowheads and how to look for them. A couple days later he texts me a picture of a beautiful black and red obsidian arrowhead he found. I'm glad I told him how to look for them, but man I'm jealous because I've never found a mahogany obsidian arrowhead before. I've found some good ones though.

 

Damn that sale yesterday was packed with people....open at 9....I got there 10 to 9, and there were already about 100 people ahead of me to get in....i heard that some of those people were waiting since 6 am...no, thanks.....lol
for two rooms, a woman came down the line that was waiting to get in, and handed everyone a number...to get into two rooms.....as they were only taking a few in those rooms at one time......but there were many rooms to look in....and I had no trouble finding things with the huge amount of people around at all times....and people kept knocking into me everywhere......I did ok...got some things I really like....something nice for a gift for my brother one day.....some nice things...some pretty clothes....It was highly priced...the sale...so i did not get too many things.....but I got to look everywhere....and by the time i got into one of the collectible rooms with my high number.....I went to look at the jewelry and had to laugh at this old gueser looking at tiny gold things with his magnifying glasses that jewelry people use...scrutinizing it forever. i saw an 18k gold little thing still there for $200.00. I left it there, too....lol

 

I always have the most fun in the toy room at these sales, though....

yesterday, i found the game Operation...same exact cover of it as i had as a child, so i bought that as nostalgia from childhood reasons...and it is all intact and still there....I found some darling stuffies in that room for myself...not sure I will share this batch with the dogs, though.....lol

a very hard to do puzzle of space...and it was maddening, as i tried to do that yesterday after I got home...i want to glue the pieces in, when I get it right for an art piece..and also another beautiful difficult puzzle of turtles....for art reasons, too.

archery store is gone now.. owner passed away, he hung on for a week when his son told me he was going to die ..

was a bust turkey hunting today, didnt much enjoy cause of rain. but it was ok, heard a few males and maybe some hunters calling but I didnt even see people.. maybe take of a day work go hunting, i dont know, you only live once..

I never understood why people hunt wild turkeys anyway. I heard they were not very good to eat....very tough meat....

I have wild turkeys going through here quite often. I only wish they would stay here. i would provide them a a sanctuary here....and for deer, too. They only live once, too.
