Had to close the doors before it got too warm in the house... That's usually a July/August thing. Forecast says 80's for the next 10 days.

Back to mowing in a bit...

Garden #1 is officially done! I got the edging done and I hate it. I used that (very heavy) black plastic edging and I really don't care for that stuff. I've used it before and it's always tough to get it how I want it. But this isn't really permanent. It's more just to keep those damn chickens from kicking wood chips out for right now until my larger landscaping work.....by which time, hopefully a fox or wolf or mountain lion will move to the neighborhood and fix this chicken infestation in my yard.

But seriously...the edging is alright. I know I'm a perfectionist and it kind of pisses me off when things don't turn out exactly how I see them in my head. But it's temporary. I'll be using other things later that will look incredible. It will be ok later.

noticed something today while driving. Buddy (me doggy) was in the back seat and whenever I talked to him, he didn't look at me, he would look in the mirror and make eye contact with me.
Is that normal or is my dog just that damn smart?

Could be a little of both. I'm pretty sure dogs like to make eye contact and he may just be smart enough to notice the mirror got the job done.
