Funny thing is....most of my family isn't here anymore. There are a few but our other home base is in Colorado and most of the family is now there.

I remember when we were kids, I used to tell my little brother that what we were being told wasn't true. I told him many times to not worry, that I knew the truth and I promised him that I would find our dad when I was old enough to be able to (days well before the internet). I remember telling him that I thought dad was trying to find us but we keep moving. I came through on that promise. As crappy as those years were....I think I learned a lot that became part of me today....much like anyone else though.

gf had a ganglionic cyst on her upper arm. I think she got it from a thorn bush when we was walking.. she got stabbed and it might of got infected. weeks been going by it was getting bigger, asshole doctors said nothing they could do see another asshole specialist blah blah. gf is bitching about it. she gets drunk Saturday and was bitching about it. I told her I was going to punch her in the arm and make it go away.. she says just do it. and I punched her perfectly where it was. Sunday was a little black and blue from where I punched her but was reduced, today she calls me and says guess what, my arm feels better, I think it went away.. I told her to massage put pressure on it as much she could to keep it from forming back up .. I was going to hit her with a book but thinking Id miss it and just have to hit her again with it lol ..

Finally got my two magnolia trees planted this evening. It took me a while to decide where to plant them because of my differing visions of future landscaping. I still have to decide on this beautiful weeping Cypress. That one is tougher to decide because I'm really not ready to plant it yet. I know where I want it but I have extensive dirt work to do to get the ground elevated the way I want it. You never want to plant a tree and then push a bunch of dirt over the roots.....sure way to kill it. But it's in a huge pot and so far it's doing fine just sitting on the deck.

Also got all of the landscaping in the front of the house weeded and put down new wood chips.

Probably broke the tip of the thorn off in her skin.

she had a pencil size poke from the thorn. did get an xray shown nothing.. I told her it was a cyst, but she didnt believe me, and shown her pimple popper from the doctors show.
basically telling her nothing to worry about. it will go away or easy to break/ minor surgery.
4realz when she got stabbed her mom doctored it up and made the bandage to tight.. right on that tendon. week so later it was swollen, and the doctor business started up.
I'm like STFU its nothing to worry about.
doctors useless , shes still bitching about it. ..
finally she was drunk enough and I just wanted to punch her anyway lol.. I said Its bible bump, like aeri said .. Oh god this shits been going on to long.. I told her Ill punch that and make it go away.. she said just do it,, lol , she screamed a little .. but it was right on the bicep perfectly where you get punched in the arm as a kid.. I nailed that . rubbed it some after, I knew after I hit it, it broke..
checking in with her tonight she says not feeling any bump but arm is black and blue.. hahahah . she be home later, but ill probably be sleep .. or pretending to sleep .

Whoever ordered that x-ray should have known better. X-rays don't show organic matter. She could have had 5 feet of thorn in her arm and it wouldn't show up on an x-ray even if you could see it with your own two eyes. I've been working in timbers, etc. for a lot of years and I've seen this exact thing (and had it happen) plenty of times. Thorn tip breaks off in the skin, the skin swells enough that the thorn can't back its way out like a smaller wood sliver would, then it gets filled with puss and looks like a cyst until it's lanced or otherwise popped (even internally...like from a punch). Then the swelling goes down and the thorn or piece of wood can removed.

I know a guy who fell down while walking in the woods. He caught himself but his hand landed on a jagged stub sticking out of a log. It punctured the palm of his hand. It got all swollen, etc. He went to the doctor, had x-rays, had to see a specialist and so on.....they couldn't find anything wrong until they opened the wound to see for what was going on for themselves. Sure enough.....a small chunk of wood broke off in his hand. He ended up having a serious infection, missed weeks of work over it and almost lost some function of his hand.

My mate Ori will like this, cos he's a fellow guitarist....today,I was just idly playing slow blues, when my mate & his 9-year-old daughter arrived unexpectedly. I put the kettle on [tight fit,but I made it] and when we were sitting yakking and drinking tea,his daughter, who's as cute as a button and normally silent and polite, was looking at my guitars and asked why I have so many. When I explained, she asked if I'd show her how to play a tune. ANY tune. Ok-not a problem. So,as yer do,I went through really slowly, the opening to 'Sweet child of mine',as it doesn't require spreading your fingers and she could get the guitar sat neatly in her lap,as it's fairly high up the neck. After a few goes, she wasn't doing too badly,so I fired up the amps to let her hear herself with some 'oomph' behind it. Her dad,my mate Kaiser, got his iphone out to record it - and she RIPPED it! No faltering,no buzz,no dead notes,no hum...she totally RIPPED it-and Kaiser's gob was wide open as were his eyes! Bloody amazing bit of 'one-off' luck! She's just 9 years old-so I was as chuffed as a really chuffed thing-she even got the hang of 'bending' to flame a couple of notes! I was SO proud of her [she really is a little sweetheart. So unpretentious,so adorable. I always think of my own daughter,God rest her soul, when I see Kaiser's little'un] Ayway, off they went...and I'm now the recipient of several VERY annoyed texts,as Kaiser is being relentlessly plagued to buy Titch a guitar & practice amp.....plus I got a "Thank you,Uncle Pug" text from Mia. Yep-it was a GOOD day. The weird thing is-I thought of you,Orison,as I knew you'd really enjoy seeing it.

I don't mean to throw out worst case scenarios. The thorn will probably be fine. I got one under a fingernail just a few months back. Hurt like a S.O.B for a while. But the guy who stabbed his hand.....that was a decent chunk of wood so I wouldn't worry much about anything like that. The thorn will probably just get backed out until she can see it and pull it out the rest of the way.

Oh yeah....and I probably look like an idiot for planting trees where I've put them. Neighbors probably have or will wonder why they are where they are but they don't know exactly what I plan on doing. But that will keep me motivated to keep busting ass to get things done. At least that's all in the back and not seen from the road.
