i havnt seen a chipmunk in years, maybe they are cooler weather animals. all the squirrels come to my yard...not sure what kind of tree i have that makes them love it here. i have a black walnut tree a mulberry tree and a bunch that i have no idea what they are. i never get acorns on the ground though so its not that.

I've got three hummingbird feeders... Birds just chase the wasps out of the way.

 

i hardly see black wasps

 

i see lots of hornets...not too much wasps or bees this year

mosquitoes are weird this year too...there is hardly any around but then once in a while its just crazy out there for a day or 2 with tons of them at dusk

 

I've got some red wasps... Not native to here.

Problem is not knowing where, out there.... Called a Bald-Faced Hornet, they will empty the nest to attack. People have died from that.

 

i got a nest right on my porch, the spray i have says its for flies and mosquito's. i am gonna get some heavy duty shit before i go pissing them off

 

Do not piss those guys off...

 

I've got a ton of hummingbirds here. One September I was having to make almost a gallon of syrup everyday. They would occasionally land on me while I was filling up the feeders.

 

I had similar to that out in California... estimated 300 birds, 3 gallons a day. I was right on the migratory path of both species through that area. Likely I was keeping some birds from going to Canada.


Now I just keep them from living at my neighbor's house.

 

mosquitoes like still air, if there is any wind you wont see them as much. they fly like shit cant handle wind. which is a good thing.. get one of those air masses that stalls, that's mosquito time..

 

I have a massive wasp nest in my soffit preventing me from fixing my hanging rain gutter....went up and 1 smack with the hmmer and I was swarmed

 

answers,com says they can fly 7mph, i think i can match that speed in the time it takes to run around the house to the back door. especially if they are groggy from getting poisoned.

apple i can understand, but why would you put pie crust in it?

 

Had my eyes tested today! One of the best checks I ever had, worth every penny!

warnings near here for over 4 inches of rain but i think it will slow down by the time it passes here
