I stayed up way too late having fun last night and consequently today was a right off....

Snow day....

 

Snow started yesterday afternoon as big wet flakes. Overnight the snow got colder and changed consistency. Not sure how much we got. When I took Grace out earlier I cleared the snow off the car but the car is covered by a layer of ice so I will have to go out later to melt that off. They predicted 3-5 inches and I think we are on the high end of that range.

Grace loves the snow and was running around like a crazy dog.

but as I type this I am hearing ''historic'' and ''catastrophic'' snowstorm coming to new England area within 24 hours????? ouch

I got the snow and ice off the car finally. So I am good to go if Dad needs me. For now we are staying in. Grace is loving the snow. She acts like a puppy having so much fun running around. She loves to eat fresh snow. I think this storm was her idea since most of the previous snow had gotten dirty.

 

3 feet of snow coming to new yoork and mass......ouch again....supposed to just miss me here.....fingers crossed....it is strange having no snow to speak of here.......90 percent of my property is snow free.....piles where I shoveled are still here but that is it......no snow on my roof at all......and none expected here all week either.......

 

The National Weather Service, which issued a blizzard watch for the greater New York City area, forecast gusts of wind up to 50 miles per hour and snow accumulation of "at least one to two feet."..

 

We got around 4 inches... I guess in theory I'm not actually snowed in, but I'm calling snow day anyways.

 

same,, I took the puppy out and the husky was calling from the grave,, "you call this a snow storm,,,,, NO woof woof!!"

2hr school delay turned to cancel, but thats the city for ya..

 

Our two hour school delay turned into canceled too. It is not that bad out there but many of the local schools are rural and there probably is drifting on the roads. We will be going to the park around 2pm and see what driving is like then.

First night alone in my new place. Feel like I am in the beginning of a horror film :-/

 

All this talk of snow....it was 55 and sunny all day where I live.

 

sold my quad plow last week and used the cash to get a 6.5 foot blade for my small truck ...plus i got a great deal paid less for it than i made on the other one

so now ill build a mount this summer and then next winter ill save cash by dropping down insurance coverage on the big truck because i really dont need it in winter except to plow

I watched boston news....I get all 3 networks out of boston on my tv package......all 3 spent the entire hour on the upcoming storm except it hasn't hit yet....but they did the coverage like it was already there....one reporter was doing outside interviews and asked a dude ''what have you seen so far?''.dude replies.....''just some traffic'' lol
