I've been watching the weather forecast for a few days and today was supposed to be around 50F so I figured I'd be able to get some more firewood cut/split/stacked. Ends up that 50F is going to happen around midnight and drop like a rock from there. Next week is polar vortex time again.


How the fuck am I supposed to cut firewood at midnight?

 

With a worklight… That's what I do… I've been watching the weather to and according to my completely incompetent weather app… It will be climbing the tree above zero Celsius at approximately 1 AM tonight and tomorrow is supposed to go up to seven so serious…

I'm committed to help some friends of ours winterize your trailer tomorrow for couple of hours but hopefully I'll be able to get some wood stuff done too… Shortly I got to go across the fucking water to the mainland for some dog bones and shopping

with a well sharpened felling saw and a heavy winter coat. there are some advantages to some other forms of heating. don't blame anyone for not wanting to be dependent on them though.

i'm assuming you don't have a wood fired generator to power the work light if you had one.

All we have is rain and 50F.

 

So I went to that NYE party and the hosts and another couple had their kids upstairs playing together. Yesterday morning both moms and all kids were puking their asses off. This morning my wife is puking. She rarely gets sick and I don't even remember the last time I was sick so....here we go. On the bright side, neither of the husbands got sick so I'm crossing my fingers.

 

I have a laptop here that we dont use. A few years old and a bit slow, but it works okay as far as I remember. The wireless cuts out sometimes, but I think that you use one of those usb rocketsticks anyway, so it wouldn't matter.

Probably cost an arm and a leg to ship it to you though.
