my neighbor just tried to go down the road in his pick up....its a heavy duty jacked up monster with 33 inch tires....he got right to my property and had to turn back....at first i thought he was plowing but when he emerged from the snow i saw he was just ramming the snow banks to get through

 

cant get my big truck started..battery is crap for years ive been putting it off because it works fine in the summer

bright sunny day here...i just wanted to start it to clear the tiny bit of snow from last week

 

Major snow storm going on here since the middle of the night and has not stopped.....many places are closed out there.

 

Our major snow storm fizzled out and rained yesterday into the night. It was 40F degrees at 12 am. Now it is in the low teens with wind chills below zero. So we are left with a lot of ice with some snow that fell today.

I am glad because Dad is in the hospital and I had to go over to his place and get some stuff to bring him. No rest for the wicked.

 

town snow plow just cleared my driveway .....turns out several places on the island even the snowplow couldn't get through....my place was one of them....so the town sent out the front end loader to first clear a
enough for the plow guys.....plow guy saw the mountain blocking my driveway and me with my teeny shovel.....so he stopped and rammed all the snow off the mouth of the driveway

That's pretty much how it looks here too. I hate winter.

 

i don't hate this.....its so beautiful when you don'thave to shovel it lol...turned the dirty town into a winter wonderland

If I didn't work outside I wouldn't mind winter at all.

 

had something for sale for years now and just time wasters responding with low offers never showing up so i doubled the price and now someone made an offer for exactly what i wanted to sell for ha..

now just see if they actually show up....supposed to call in next few days

 

I feel like I just gave myself frostbite in my own kitchen sink.

Pulling tails off frozen shrimp under cold running water should not be a Wintertime activity.

 

It was a daily activity for me for years at my place of business. That is peeling frozen/defrosting shrimp, mostly in the 16 to 20 per pound size. Of course it is relevant to the winter months. In the summer perhaps a different sensation.

 

Im addicted to drinking winter tap water..

 

I'm pretty much addicted to water anytime of year.

 

i dont like the tap water

i can only drink it if i squirt a bit of flavour chemicals in there ...or heat it up and run it through some coffee beans

 

It is nice to be able pull a glass of cold water right out of the faucet in Winter.

 

and you wonder why you have kidney stones.

 

im clear now..there are none so im working on some new ones

 

I have a well taped into an aquifer from the recent ice age. Like drinking snow melt.
