ok....so it turns out the wind will force snow through the few gaps in the coop and make some birds very unhappy......so now i'm out in the blizzit putting in new fresh dry hay and sealing some cracks.....

I could complain but I run out of complaints and can't stand watching reruns. So I have given them up as ultimately boring.

    Very mild here.

    43F..

so I decided to call the gas company and get some NG.. so much for that. turn on the furnace/ no go.. humm ,, its giving me a 31 code on the LED .. pressure switch not closing according to the manufacture booklet. so i take the condenser pump apart cause its clogged and removed the pressure switch. < that I cant buy til tomorrow sometime , but Im probably just going to junk it cause the warranty isnt any good. 60K btu is undersized for my home anyways. I found one that 100k but Im probably going to buy the 80k so its not oversized and put in a hearth heater in the living room.. Im not going to do it this winter cause its almost over but over the seasons for next year. See what happens tomorrow because the stupid thing give me 2 codes today ,more than likely i replace pressure control something else will break. but Ill see how long it last anyways.

Got 100 gallons of diesel today...he pumped it into this barrel that Mama goes into the basement (where I'm now scared to go) and measures. She has always measured for the oil, always. She uses a yardstick, or similar, she has rigged and used for years.

cost $260. very VERY cheap, considering its been more. :yikes: yes, anyway.

It will last about a month. I can hear the water running through the pipes or whatever that makes heat come from the radiators (that work).

these electric baseboards are ok, but they are only 4700btu. those under desk space heaters are 5100btu but they cant run constant and the baseboards can. .. them alone making the downstairs 75F, but when the wind comes, it rips it out and drops in the 50s-60s, thats a little to chilly for me and satan bitches up a storm. turns on the oven to get warm.

its 70s on the other side cause nobody is going in and outside.

cant use the kerosene cause the wick said "fuck it" to low and sooty .. need a nice golden color to the flame to remain scentless. its a good round one, but it chew up kero like a crackhead on crack.. a Gallon in 14hrs.. i guess thats not to bad. little square one eats a tank in 24hrs. but its lower btu output. the round one will heat house if you let it/ its a little bad ass.. 33K btu, thats half my furnace, dang..

I jumped the pressure switch and Im getting some heat out the furnace about 28-36 degree deltaT.. Im confident thats the problem.

Do any of you guys put clear plastic up on the windows (inside or outside) to help with the heat?

really when you put a plastic on it traps all the CO gas you'll be lucky if you have any oxygen

We used to put plastic up every winter (on the inside) with no issues but we just have a regular furnace. The plastic made a big difference for us.
