My house had windows that were about 100 years old. But they have all been replaced recently....as I'm sure most of you know, I have a whole separate thread about it that I should update sometime. The new windows , insulation, etc should be a big improvement. When I sided the outside of the house a couple of years ago, I put up "fan fold" and tyvec wrap. The heating bill used to be over $300/mo and it dropped to about $250 and then went down to $225 or so. That was before new windows and insulation. I'm looking forward to seeing how much it drops after all this work. Maybe it will get down to $150-$175?

I just gave you 409.....I went to bed last night at 419.....completely forgot about it......panicked when I turned on my computer and saw it was still 419 but I knew refreshing the page would update it........luckily only 1 was added over night

just shovelled the driveway....had about 6 inches of very powdery light snow....good exercise but now my knee is a wee soreagain.....its strong in every direction but one...that one seems gone...may need a doctor on this one

We werre supposed to have an oil delivery today, as it is low here.......but the people called and said they were not coming down this private drive.....2/10th off a mile until we had it plowed, sanded and salted.....now, it was only 2-3 inches on it, but plow man had to be called to plow it here anyway...another $150.00 for him.
bill is split with neighbors, at least.....they are waiting on oil, too.

 

dude could reach mine from the road but he pulls right up to the wall of the house...i'm close to the road.......bright sunshiny day but its brrrrrr out there.....time for a bake and nap

 

this weather really sucks for doing work that cant be done with gloves

 

wow...colder than a you know what out there.......torture....in that wind chill.....dogs are all strong troopers......
of course, once home, Champy had to take an immediate piss on the table leg that ran a river......

Rolled equipment out of the lot at -16 degrees this morning....mostly because I thought the temp was incorrect. Found out from a buddy later that a nearby town was supposedly -22. Didn't feel that cold.

 

hahah.. Welcome Back Kotter, his girl's name is Julie. They was playing cards and they called something cant remember the script but they said Julie and Red in the same sentence and I swear as well the dog heard them.
