wish i did not eat chicken nuggets now. I feel sick now...i feel better if i never eat.....

 

Wiz, glad that the custom one was not on tour with him and I hope that they at least break even on this and can replace what was taken. That really sucks.

I was doing errands today and the wind was coming in gusts that were wicked. At one point I was walking to the car and it was an instant white out in the parking lot.

I am officially tired of winter right now,

This is exactly why I always take my guitars to the hotel room. I may leave my other gear on the bus (or in the studio or wherever) but I never leave my guitars anywhere. They stay with me. The rest of my gear can be replaced. My main guitar can technically be replaced but not right away. It would take months to rebuild that guitar. At least it sounds like they only lost road gear and left most of their high-end stuff at home. I might have lost a PA system but I never expected them to give it back to me when I let my son use it.

 

That sucks...

 

Back from Kohl's....found an all black pair of Sketcher running shoes that are cool....never had sketchers before in runners...only walkers....and isotoner gloves that were 80 percent off...so they better be warm...as when I lost my glove from a pair that was my warmest....the pair I bought are not warm.....

 

It does suck but it's just shit that happens. You live and learn. Maybe the insurance will cover it, maybe not. I'm totally out of the loop besides what I hear from my son. But they will live on. And if my PA is gone....I'm not too worried about it. I hear the shows where great and I was never going to use that PA anyway. I bought it to give to him.

 

It's just a bummer that the tour went this way. They're young. They're very lucky to even be in their situation. It sounds like they played some good shows and ran into some adversity. You'll have that. Nothing is promised. Shit happens...You just have to deal with it. It sucks.

 

as long as he catches crabs the tour is still a success....that....or be arrested for banging the local police chiefs daughter.....either or


i'm guessing they aren't the first band to be ripped off in that town

if they do a benefit lemme know and I will send in a teeny tiny donation.....or I could send him an old harmonica?....either/or haha



good grief it is extreme air conditioning out there today

 

there was a band in burlington that was robbed like 3 times... one time their van was stolen, another time a trailer broken into, and another time their practice space was robbed. they held a benefit show each time, but I don't think anyone went to the third one. If you get robbed twice and still don't insure your gear, I think that's on you.

A friend of mine borrowed a whole set of gear for a party he would drive to next day. So he stuffed it in the car the evening before, and let the car be parked at the venue he borrowed the gear from (he works there). He had a thought in the back of his mind that its on a private property and there's a security cam and never thought about it twice. Next morning he gets to the car and finds it is broken into and all the stuff is gone. They're checking out the cam and the vid, appears a branch of a tree grew in front of it
He had to pay shit back over the time of 2 years. He also held a (well visited) benefit party but yeah, he had a lot of gear stolen out of that car.

 

I was just out....no wind here for a change.....heading back out to do some pre-cutting work and set-up.....I can only find one of my safety cones...t'other is buried out front somewhere

 

I'm home with a sick kidlet. I was out yesterday, too. I don't feel guilty about being off of work. Not sure that's a good thing.
I have to do laundry and get the kids clothes ready--spending weekend with their day.
Problem is, all I want to do is drink hot tea, listen to music and find new pins on Pinterest.
