He has been using a cane for more than a few years. He does things he doesn't need to be doing, like carrying things with two hands, and not using the cane; or jumping up and forgetting to take the cane. A cane really can't prevent a fall the way a walker can. I would feel better if he tried a tripod cane. At least that's something more than a regular cane.

He's getting hurt. He's diabetic and takes a long time to heal. Every time he gets a scab on his knees and elbows it gets knocked off. He's got scrapes on his back and sides. He hit his face on the floor on Christmas Eve. He hit the side of his head and his shoulder on New Year's Eve. Tonight he fell and hit his ribs on a sharp furniture corner. Before Christmas he fell on sharp stumps from bushes he cut.

I'm just afraid that one time it's going to be too serious for me to handle. He is pushing the odds.

 

Dad fell before Thanksgiving and I took him to the emergency room. Ultimately he had some home physical therapy and he ended up purchasing a rollator (walker with wheels). He says that he uses it in his condo but I have never seen him use it. He still uses the cane when he goes out somewhere. (he does not use the cane properly) If he were to fall outside I would not be able to catch him and would not be able to get him up off the ground. So much for buying the rollator.

If you are off balance a cane is not going to do a whole lot of good.

 

I woke up 2-11… I ran out of furnished fuel on New Year's Day the next morning the truck pulled in my driveway to fill my tank… How's that for timing?… And one dollar a leader… Last year it was I think a dollar 16 a liter

 

My dog is now a massive and the perfect height to use his huge fluffy tail and he sweeping device to clear up anything that happens to be on the coffee table standing beside it

 

I've got a 1000 gallon oil tank buried in my yard... Of course it's not connected to anything.

 

I don't think you are allowed to bury them here… Or is it buried To get rid of it?…if it's in tact shouldn't way about 500 pounds in which case it's got to be worth 100 box scrapyard? 50?

 

From what I've read it's stainless steel... I ain't digging it out to check.

 

I can't tolerate corn. I know this yet I ate grits two days in a row. Whoa is my tummy.

 

worth more to someone who needs it as a tank or for building material if its actually stainless...most scrap places wont take fuel tanks unless its in a vehicle...they have to keep them stored seperate and ship seperately due to the environment laws

next big stainless skin i find is going on my snowplow

i had one too..i used to blame it for ruining my life when it caused my back injury but then later on i figured it would have happenned anyway

I went to pick up my change at the chainsaw sharpening a dealer who is also the Polaris ATV dealer… They have me near sold on a new Polaris ATV…

 

I remember watching a guy pull a wheelie on one of those three wheelers in the Honda parking lot when they first came out... he went right over and smacked his head hard. He didn't move for about 15 minutes. The rest of his co workers were frantically picking up all the new bikes that the three wheeler smashed into while this guy just laid there.


Pretty sure he lost his job over that one.

 

I made two batches of peanut butter balls… One of them has special butter another one does not… 40 and total… 20 of each… Just kidding ready to dip the second 20 in chocolate
