I have never dealt with a recall on a car or anything else but just last week I was on the phone to a place in another state with a hydraulic issue. They're a dealer but they also have traveling mechanics. I read him the serial number on the boom and he told me it was recalled due to issues with possible cracks in the pedestal. So I checked it over while still on the phone with him. No cracks but they still want to weld on the reinforcement metal. I thought maybe they expected me to send the truck to S. Dakota. Nope. They will come to wherever the truck is and repair it for free. I hate to see what the bill for that is. I bet we won't get jerked around on it though...they have to drive a long ways to get here.

First time I have dealt with a recall... This second dealer did it right, good customer service. I love the car and wasn't having problems but now it's fixed. (as far as I know)

I was on a forum dedicated to the HHR and we knew about this 6-7 years ago. GM really dropped the ball on this one.

He's seen some shit alright. He's probably the luckiest dude I know. Always in the right place at the right time and the kindest soul you could ever meet. He's gone to a lot of Dead shows and one time he happened to find himself at the place where the roadies were loading in. He's talking to some people there and some technical issue is brought up in conversation. The Wizard is a computer and electrical genius so he offered to take a look at the problem. He figured it out in about 5 minutes and was invited to go along with the band for the rest of that tour. So he traveled with the roadies, worked and got to hang out with the band and they got him back to where they picked him up at after the tour. Talk about lucky!! I love hearing his stories.

we're supposed to get 15cm of snow tomorrow, and it seems like it will be sticking around this time.

I just have to finish a paper and a take-home exam, and then I'm done for a month!

Ah..I thought you meant ESP EC330...that's why I wondered. I thought maybe you were looking at the bass to the left. I don't remember what that hollow body is for sure. There are so many guitars floating around there that I don't even bother trying to keep track of whose playing what on any given day. (Come to think of it...it never even crosses my mind to pay attention) I know he just broke it back out last night for the first time in a few years. It's pretty sweet though. The one next to the Fender is mine. Custom build with a MIDI pick-up which I was playing through my Roland GR-55 synth last night. Getting a little better with the synth but it's something you kind of have to learn to play to be decent with it.

I had one of the originals when I was a kid. I'd love to have another one but I can't bring myself to go get a replica at walmart. I still have a few Darth Vaders (different sizes) lurking in my guitar room and another room in my house. I am such a dork. :)

I had some of that stuff. Not a lot of the vehicles but I was a poor kid. I was lucky to have what I had. But I had some things and some characters. At my school, we would invent different vehicles out of our milk cartons from lunch and create scenarios on recess. Coincidentally, my wife just tried to talk to me about our house (long term stuff) and I told her i wasn't even thinking that far ahead yet. She said "Because you're talking with your on-line friends about Star Wars?" I said "Um...not really but....maybe." :)

Saw my first porn film in 1976. Cherry. There was a preview for star wars that popped my interest really in Cherry. In may of 77 I saw a premier in Las Vegas. A kid who participated in a yo yo contest i ran called a radio station and got two free tickets and he invited me.
