RF: I was just thinking of a story I heard on NPR today and it made me think of how damn proud I am of our little girl. She's our last one at home (11) and has been the easiest by far. She has a good heart. She's kind and generous. She's always been on the honor roll, perfect attendance, etc. Gymnastics, multiple dance classes, honor choir, student council, she has her own performing musical act (in front of real audiences) and so on. And she still thinks she will always live with her mom and dad. That might be the best part because it means we must be doing something right. Of all the places she can go one day...she feels loved enough to want to be here...at least for the time being. She'll probably hate us when she's 16 but....enjoy it while it lasts.

 

I gave up on trying not to picture her naked like two years ago… I'm way past that now

I'm tired. I've worried about my sister-in-law so much. I worry about my brother too.

She's still in a coma and they cannot find what's causing fever, rapid heartbeat, irregular blood pressure, and coma.

She had the surgery on Friday - to place the feeding tube. She nearly died on Sunday and has been in the coma since.

Jerks at hospital are talking to him about her not having a quality of life and how he should "pull the plug".

It's all very difficult. It is angering, and it is sad.

I'll be going to bed soon. It all starts over in the morning.

 

It was 10 degrees F just before sunrise today...

My purpose here is to ease our minds on this pain and say that we never die. the perception that we die is produced by the illusion that the self is confined to the body or that it is even firmly attached to it.
The body is a biological machine which is why they can keep the body viable on machines an harvest organs to change out parts from other bodies. It is exactly like having a souped up car.

 

The body of my sister-in-law, weakened by 12 years of battling lung cancer, was not well enough to survive the feeding tube placement surgery.

She is free.

She survived lung cancer. A kink in her esophagus developed for unknown reasons; but it wasn't cancer.

She beat that shit.
