i remember some experiences with mirrors when i was 11-12.if i would look at my face and eyes in the mirror i would quite quickly disconnect from myself and my life. weird, powerful moments. never been able to replicate it since.

Kidney stones are FUCKING painful!

Got up Sunday morning,made an espresso,was walking into my office,suddenly I was eating the floor.
WHAM! - no warning,no symptoms,but I was stuck unable to move.
Ambulance,hospital,the whole nine yards.
Finally had the op this afternoon,they removed two,[I have them in a jar],ultrasounded the other three smaller ones,then put a stent into my kidney to open the tube so the slush can drain.
Jeepers,that really smarted a tad.
I remember taking my neice to watch The Lion King...and it was even more painful than that!
Two days 'nil-by-mouth', other than oramorph every two hours,followed by a series of electric shocks,ending with a plastic pipe shoved into my kidney.

So-how was YOUR weekend?
