    i went ant paid for my bike and on the way home i bought a tilt load snowmobile trailer 5by10 for cheap....so back tomorrow to pick her up

    i didnt pick up my new baby today because of a plot against me involving the major insurance companies...its like they have me by the nads and wont let go till i empty my wallet

    for the bike?...you dont need insurance if you have permission from the landowner

    in most of my county and the surrounding ones..you can drive on the side of the road in town etc but only with insurance

    wow..not here...any time we are near a road we risk getting a fine..and most people don't realize that legally the "roadway" includes shoulders,ditches and more...right up to abutting property lines...we can only "cross" a road at 90 degrees...and must have insurance and a drivers license to even do that...it's ridiculous.

    ATV – By-Law
    BY-LAW # 51-04
    Being a By-law to regulate the operation of All-Terrain Vehicles on Municipal Highways
    within the Township of North Frontenac
    WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 191.8 (3) of the Highway Traffic Act, R.S.O. 1990, Ch.
    8 as amended, the Council of a Municipality may pass by-laws,

    note the word ''permitting''
    (a) permitting the operation of off-road vehicles with low pressure bearing tires on
    any highway within the municipality that is under the jurisdiction of the
    municipality, or any part or parts of such highway,
    (b) prescribing a lower rate of speed for all-terrain vehicles by regulation on any
    highway within the municipality that is under its jurisdiction, or any part or parts
    of such highway including different rates of speed for different highways or parts
    of highways,
    NOW THEREFORE THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF NORTH FRONTENAC
    ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:
    I. DEFINITIONS
    In this By-law,
    “All-Terrain Vehicle” means an off-road vehicle that,
    (a) has four wheels, the tires all of which are in contact with the ground.
    (b) has steering handlebars,
    (c) has a seat that is designed to be straddled by the driver, and
    (d) is designed to carry a driver only.
    “Highway” includes a common and public highway, street, avenue, parkway, and
    driveway, any part of which is intended for use or used by the general public for the
    passage of vehicles and includes the area between the lateral property lines thereof.
    “Low Pressure Bearing Tire” means a wide, balloon type tire with a rounded cross
    section and no distinct shoulder area and that is designed to operate with inflation
    pressures of no greater than 70 kps ( 10psi ).
    “Off -Road Vehicle” means an off-road vehicle

    you're lucky...up here the bylaws are all about stuff we cant do...they never take the time to do anything to help

    further investigation and I found the typical "lets set up a committee" crap...it seems they have a committee of people who have been "researching" about an atv bylaw here....started in 2007 and scheduled to conclude after oct 2010

    I wonder how much extra ca$h they earn for joining committees

    they just announced a proposal to have atv parking right in the middle of my town...maybe they want to lure us into town where we can get more tickets

    atv is a dirty word here....and yet the snowmachines are allowed to fly up and down our sidewalks at 100kph

    glad I found that section in the city website...they had a survey there and I got to give some of my ideas:cool:
