I had my first cataract surgery Monday and although I can see distance with the right eye reading or being on the computer is close to impossible. Left eye surgery will be on July 1 and on July 10 I should get the new prescription for glasses. About a week or two after that I should be able to read again also. Until then I am trying to limit my online time to a half hour or less at any time.

Tyrsonswood moved into his new house yesterday. He does not have phone or internet connection yet so he is offline for now as well.

My arms are not long enough to reach the keyboard and read the screen at the same time. Very strange.

^That reminds me of when I was living in the basement...the cat I had then let me know (he was scared ) there was a snake...anyway, I had a hoe down there for a snake(s).

I know I hit it, and more than once. In fact I hit it so hard that sparks came up off of the cement. It was like trying to kill a garden hose. It slithered on away, the cat hid.

I also saw another one...it disappeared before I could even try with the hoe.

After I found the HUGE moccasin lolling across the curtain rod down there, that was IT for me living in the basement. :p In fact now when I go down there I always have a hoe either in my hand or close at hand. Not that that will kill one (obviously) in my hands...but it will at least stop me from getting bit - again.

    OMG creepy!!! Ick!

Hubby and I put together the huge swing set today. The frame is finished and the slide is attached. Tomorrow the see-saw, trapeze bar, rocket rider, and 3 swings go on.

It was difficult to do...getting all the holes lined up so the bolts and nuts could go on. The bolts are so super short.

the bolts are made just the right size to minimize protrusion ...

safer that way for the monkeys that will be climbing all over it

Yeah, I know. I ripped myself open on a swing set screw when I was little. I was sliding down one of the poles and an uncovered screw ripped the skin on my stomach for a good 6 or 8 inches. I had a scar for years and years.
