you are all so messed up that coming here makes me feel normal and fortunate...even go so far as to say y'all make me feel healthy by comparison

 

I was drinking eggnog latte, which brought up a lot of memories, whilst sitting the platform and just watched my train go by without remembering to get on it. So now I'm late for lectures, feeling nostalgic and crap and feeling very sick from the eggnog latte.

Apparently I have failed to share my shrink experiences here - hard to believe I slipped up on that. I already saw shrinks - two of them. The first one - this was before the Deanna days - gave me a working diagnosis of "delusional disorder" so he could try out meds on me. He had me on Zyprexa for a few months. That made no difference in my perceptions or ideations, so then he tried Haldol - same results. I'm incurable.

I had my first go at work today on our new Stihl MS460 chainsaw, f*ck me it's a beast :2thumbsup:

If I were smart I would take my landlord's chainsaw into the woods and cut firewood for the winter. Luckily I'm not that smart.

Honestly, yeah. I havent sniffled all day as of yet because I now know that there's nothing physically wrong with my nose so I'm on the road to recovery for that.

Also, the decision making and changing my mind all the time and being such a scatterbrain now has an explanation behind it. I kinda feel like I now need to learn about what people like me do when it comes to those thing. And being as awesome as I am well... I know I'll be all good.

Oh and the psychiatrist said he wasn't surprised that marijuana seems to help me a lot. He kinda said without saying that it was a valuable treatment.

It's also very important to sprinkle nutmeg on top of it!

I dont see him again til the spring. He was a good dude. I was excpeting some asshole that would talk to me for 5 minutes and then push drugs on me but it wasnt like that at all. I was pleasantly surprised.

Yeah that's the main reason why i refuse pretty much any psychiatric drugs. I like being the horny pig that I am too much.

There are some good ones around. My daughter's shrink is outstanding - very unusual. His philosophy with her is (1) give her just enough medication to allow her to maintain, but not so much that she doesn't have some emotional challenges to work on, and (2) don't push her to do things she obviously can't (as some of her school staff used to do). I truly believe that guy was one of my daughter's saviors.

Yeah, and one of the reasons I didn't go sobbing to the shrink for anti-depressants during some of my most hellish emotional times is because I didn't want to give up drinking.

 

When I was on antidepressants, I drank anyways...
