I just woke up 30 mins ago

 

We dug up all our potatoes, been gettin' corn to eat, tomatoes are rotting on the vine, cucumbers are doing ok, and so are the peppers....and I have about 20 pumpkins....I've had a few strawberries from the one I tranplanted...
Still cloudy and muggy here....

 

Aw lucky. I've always wanted to grow my own pumpkins. How long did yours take after planting the seeds?

 

Well I planted them around the first of June, so I'd say around 6 to 8 weeks....When I carve one for halloween I'll save the seeds for next year....

 

awesome. That's quicker than I thought they'd grow.

and I dont have a garden...just stuff that grows on its own like raspberries,chokecherries and pincherries...I get a garden ready for an 85 year old friend but she does her own planting and maintaining

i'm suppose to be cleaning, but i'm trying to avoid it.

 

yes i work on a farm. u dont understand what i meant by my cucumbers are dying. we plant early and late cucumbers. my early ones are dying. my late ones are a little behind schedule but will produce for the rest of the season after these ones die. this way they are picked right up until frost once they start producing in july. we try to do this with green beans to but were not as good at predicting when one planting will give out and the next will produce. there are usually a couple days gap inbetween the two plantings. the green beans we are picking are doing very well and are having a longer than expected picking cycle. im happy with that. we do have pumpkings and right now the biggest one is probably about the size of a bowling ball. so its probably about 10 inches in diameter. tomatoes have blight. it was impossible to avoid that cuz we had a super rainy june. corn is good. lettuce is good. mostly everything is good except tomatoes.

i dont really eat chocolate ever. i have a bunch of chocolate in my room but i never eat it. it just sits there and i end up giving it to people. its not that i dont like chocolate i just dont eat it.
