One of my childhood friends did some drawing/animation work for The Flintstones in the late 70s. In HS he had a couple of hobbies: Rocketry/explosives and lockpicking. I once came back to the locker room after a long workout with my track team to find all our lockers opened and somebody's clothes all locked together with the padlocks, and Bob just sitting there laughing and laughing. For a time he started his own company in Colombia and married a Colombian anthropologist. I met her over coffee at a restaurant in my home town...she had weird ideas, for an anthropologist...thought the native peoples in Colombia should all give up their native cultures and learn to speak Spanish...and other weird shit...

    Doing muscle-building?

Now THAT is fucking awesome, yall. Thanks major big time, BBAD.

sitting outside at night and listening to the neighborhood cats n dogs can be interesting...

sounds like a group of cats singing at the river bridge...one goes 'meow' then 3 or 4 follow 'meow'.. 'meow'.. 'meow' with a second or two pause inbetween...its kind of trippy..

ive never lived indoors with cats.

Living with cats can be a trip. I promise all of my cats have had their own personalities. A few would "talk" (meow) to me from time to time, and it would seem as if they were really trying to tell me something, or ask me how my day (or night shift) went.

My biggest cats have had the weakest little cry of them all! lol

Right now we have 2 inside cats...in separate parts of the house. BB (the black bob-tail) doesn't play well with others - meaning the other cat and Jack. She is so fat (eating only dry food) she looks like she is about to explode. The other one, Brownie, is stocky, but he doesn't look like he is about to explode like BB. Picking him up is like picking up a load of bricks. :p BB has a weak cry (and is mean as hell). Brownie is a little louder, but not much.

The cats you are hearing are either in heat, and they DO get loud then! Or they are little (ha) and just trying to sound big.

    ^ lol

I've also heard you can't "call" cats, which is ridiculous. My cats have always come as quickly, or quicker, than a dog.

I've also had cats that would follow me in the yard better than a dog! I called them my puppy-cats.

Our household had six cats at one point...all of them were either strays I had let in or offspring of one of the strays.

I've caught the outside tom, Sam, chasing away several cats...loud as all get out. (He is lean and mean - to other cats.) For the past 2 1/2 yrs he has effectively kept away any strays.

I had my computer in the kitchen for years. It's pretty cool. I moved my bedroom up to where the living room used to be. It's like a great room with the kitchen, except for a little free standing wall in the middle of it all. Now my computer is back up near the kitchen where the computer started out in 1999.
