I did get enough clearance to move around most of the base without an escort. And I can even eat at the commissary, etc.. woo hoo!!

Also, they're armed with some serious weapons at the main gates.

I was riding through the first gate this morning with my supervisor and he said "check-out those pop up barricades in the road."

I said yeah, if you see those things popping up in front of you, I'm sure you'd hear some popping noises from behind too..

^ I saw at least 3 old Air Force One jets in there today, collecting dust. And other planes from all over the country. Row after row after row after row of them.

 

What part, lol.

I also got permission to photo some planes around my work area. Besides the Warthogs being worked on just over the fence, I want to get a pic of a 747 not too far away. It has a big buldge on it's nose.

I'm wondering if it's radar, or that nose mounted laser thing..

 

And if anyone don't believe me, ask me to hold something up (like a pen or something) when I take a photo..
