My [white] stepdaughter is dating a black guy. He's also a Muslim. From Africa. He's afraid to introduce her to his brother, cuz Muslims in his area of the world hate Christians.

I don't hold out much hope for a lasting, happy relationship...but you know, if I got too adamant she would probably marry him just to prove it to me. So I just voiced my thoughts - calmly - one time - and dropped it. I guess she's having fun with him - for the time being. I just hope it doesn't get ugly if the brother finds out. :afro:

The liver has an extremely high threshold for pain and actually rarely feels pain. The nerve endings on the liver are very small and cushioned. Some people who suffer from liver failure sometimes complain that their liver is tender or sore, but that's rarely the case and the feelings are usually psychosomatic.

If I were for whatever reason suffering from a tender liver, I'd most likely have signs of liver failure long before. Which I don't. Besides, most of the time diseases of the liver such as cirrhosis and liver disease take decades of hard drinking before they take effect. I'm too young yet for either.

Thanks farmout but maybe not today. I have to go to the dentist's soon. I think one probing is good enough for today. :)

I think it's just a pulled muscle anyways. I was going at the weight machine in the gym a little too hard last week.

you can actually get liver aches from drinking too much alcohol. I have had it after a long weekend away with friends where I drank more than my lions share. It went after a few days

and I have actually had my blood work done last years and discovered I have a perfectly healthy liver.

I am sure you are fine and it is most likely a muscle pull....

Bummer about the dentist tho, I don't enjoy those visits much.

I need to search out some lunch real fast and take a hike with the dogs....:)

I'm not a big fan either. But I enjoy the feeling afterwards and the clean teeth.

I just imagine gall stones are similar pain to kidney stones except less intense and located higher more towards the core sometimes accompanied by the wonderful world of vomitting

I had some blood work done this year as well. I'm sure my doctor would have said something. Besides, this isn't near my liver.

Because of my age and the fact that I'm still in school I qualify on my mothers (government) dental plan. And boy is it sweet! :2thumbsup:

Only for another few years though. That's why I'm getting in now all the work that I can.

For example; last visit I had three or four cavities filled. The bill was around $1000, a little more I think.

It only cost me about $200 after the rebate thing.

    lol why is that funny?

I worked building cabinets for awhile and then apprenticed with a carpenter for awhile. I decided it wasn't for me and I wanted to apply to university. I found out I needed one credit. I'm getting it now online so I can hopefully go to university next fall.

It's another beautiful day here. High in the low 60's, humidity around 70% without a breath of wind.

    And the satellite photo.....
