Got an email from my dad this morning saying his doctor is putting an electronic defibrillator inside him on Monday. He says he has no symptoms, but the doc says his heart pumping pressure is a little low, which is apparently a risk factor for defibrillation.

    He's 79 - hits the big eight-oh this year.

Hope all goes well and he is kicking up his heels for the big 80! Time for a party!:)

RF I have huge sheets of ice hanging off the roof of my house. Every time I go out I hug the wall.

It is too thick to even knock off. :(

Thanks, Heather. :) He still gets on his exercise bike for 45 minutes every day. He and my mom have a nice retirement home near Tucson with a view of mountains out their back window. They're doing amazingly well for coming up on 80.

all the bolts are out and the valve cover is still stuck...whoever opened it before used awful good sealant...if i tap it any harder its gonna break..ill probably try some heat on it to destroy the sealant

well im pissed..i got the valve cover off and saw nothing wrong...but even with cam removed and all valves closed i had no compression ...so i spend more time and remove the head only to find a small piece of yellow plastic jammed in one intake valve holding open a bit

if id have known it was that I bet 50 pulls on the recoil would dislodged it or squeezed it down enough to work its way out...

I think im gonna buy a borescope to save myself trouble like this next time...if i could of inspected the chamber optically Id have spotted this right away and saved myself a ton of work and back aggravation :<

My dog Thor passed away at about 4:15 this afternoon. Koa his life long buddy, Erin the Crow and most of the kitties were there. He went comfortably laying on the floor with me sitting next to him, he will be missed.

that sucks...unless he was old and his time was done then its not so bad

I rememeber a few years back a friend asked me for help to get his dog out of the house...the dog had died right in the living room and he left it there for days with stuff coming out both ends it was really bad ...after i saw that I did it because i was helping the dog not the guy...im not really friends with him anymore because of that...i thought it was disgusting and disgraceful for him to just leave the dog there so long before deciding to do something..it was a nice dog too

another thing that pissed me off is that he took it to the animal place to dispose of...the guys owns 6 acres there was more than enough place to safely bury her right at home

well im not sure if youre in a big city but if youre near some country places put him somewhere he would have liked to be..just dont tell anyone why youre digging...some places have stupid laws against burying animals
