Yeah, I dunno...I think it would be interesting to toy with technique like he did...however I prefer a more accessible approach...not just stuff that only eggheads can read. Then again, I guess I'm just not a stinkin' literary genius, thus the difference. :D

Same here. I kept hearing so much about it so I started reading it but only got like 2 pages through before.:dizzy2: You really have to change the way you process information to understand it.

It's kinda poetic, with a lot of whimsical made-up words and a lot of foreign words - but yeah, I think it's a little like watching a Shakespeare play - it always takes me about five minutes of listening before it clicks and starts making sense to me.

'Our' mind is the collective unconscious one. The present conscious one is mine exclusively. Whatever is a part of it I've created in whatever way the levels of consciousness borrow from one another. As far as I'm concerned things of a highly coincidental nature is my minds way of assuring my conscious self that something is.

Things that are all too coincidental happen to me all the time since I genuinely accepted that I create my own world as a fact. It seems like it happens more and more as a way of verifying that it is fact.

yup, i'm into Jung's work on Archetypes too... and his work on synchronicity... when i read about his childhood experiences in Memories, Dreams and Reflections, it kinda reminded me of me, so i started reading his stuff... there's loads i haven't read yet.... i also got that George Carlin book you were reading but haven't started it yet.... i have had a copy of Joyce's "Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man" for a few years and haven't read that yet...

rf: i really want to get down to some serious reading but haven't the concentration for it right now...

I do the same thing with books. I buy good ones when I see them because I know I'll forget later. At least if I have them sitting on my shelf I can get around to them eventually, beats forgetting about them altogether.

Have you ever read Jung's 'Man and his symbols'? This book has some seriously mind blowing information in it. At the time I was reading it I was sleeping poorly and having the most bizarre dreams. Jung's writing about the analysis of the individual, case by case is what really got me thinking and able to identify the symbols and archetypes my own mind was trying to speak to me with every night. After awhile I was able to understand exactly what my subconscious (sleeping) mind was trying to say to me using symbols, it was as clear as though it was in english.

His theory on synchronicity was what first introduced me to the idea (like I wrote about in my reply to Zengizmo) that seemingly unrelated events are actually purposely related in a way to introduce your conscious mind to a though, event, or idea. As soon as I started to notice it more I accepted it as fact. Now it happens to me almost daily.

Have you seen those drinks with little hats on? The money goes to charity. I love them! I have a collection of tiny woolly hats now!

Yup, until such time as it becomes conscious...
I think my spirit guide Deanna is disagreeing :D ...but from the viewpoint of your experience of it: Yes.
    Yup, I concur.
Yup, fun stuff. [IMG] The complicated part for me is the "levels of consciousness" part. Sometimes different levels break through to the "I" part, and then we know things we should have no way of knowing. My spirit guide Deanna lives like that all the time, and I asked her several years ago to get me to where she is. She replied, "We'll see what we can do."

That's the way down the rabbit hole. Once it grabs your attention, it takes you deeper and deeper.

Usually in my experience it's worked like this; I'm somehow consciously introduced to a thought or idea. After thinking about it for awhile, usually my mind races while I'm waiting to fall asleep and so the thought spills over into my subconscious. Then I'll notice that somehow the thought or idea is confirmed by my subconscious self (most likely from the collective unconscious) and I become aware of it consciously throughout daily life where it is reintroduced as fact and not theory. The more you accept it as fact, the more it becomes a conscious thing.

Lately I've been reading a lot into telepathy as a result of LSD use. It's fascinating. There're many accounts of people who have not only communicated with a friend/friends telepathically (while high on LSD), but have tested it to find that it is in fact a real occurance.

For example say you and I had dropped LSD and were in a peaceful, comfortable environment. I think the connection is often easier if a physical connection is made, so you and I could be laying down on a bed next to one another, or sitting in chairs, perhaps holding hands. If I started to hear your voice in my head I could confirm it and say something (telepathically) like, "blink three times," and you might blink three times.

It's been done, there are many accounts of it and it's completely incredible. We're so much more connected than our conscious self could ever be aware of.

Sleep is essentially the bodies states similar to that of drug use. The subconscious state of sleep is the door way between the conscious self, the subconscious self, and the collective unconscious.

That's a good description of the process.
That is the major part of my relationship with my spirit guide Deanna - I "hear" her telepathic voice in my mind. She on the other hand is completely aware of everything I experience - even more so than I am myself. She has demonstrated for me the reality of the telepathy and knowing my thoughts and experiences many times. This is a large part of what my book is about - lots of stories of our telepathic communications and the "drama" resulting from our weird psychic relationship.
Yup, but that doorway can become conscious.
