The house I grew up in old, I love it! And, there was a old castle nearby that we would play in as children. I can't do modern houses, I much prefer the old.

If I ever get married, it will be in a castle on a loch.

In Europe do they have like night crew caretakers of all the castles? Like janitors and guards?

I'd love to do that...most of them are haunted though!

Have you ever been to Tower of London Tipsy?

Many do - the ones that are still lived in, or are now tourist attractions, but many still stand - not fully intact - but good enough, that are left alone.

When I was little we were driving back home from somewhere in the south and it was getting late, so my parents stopped at a castle hotel, and they said that it would be free to stay in the haunted room, but my parents said no. I'd love to go back there now.

Yep, many times. I was planning on going again soon though, because it has been a few years. It is a lovely place, and in winter they have an ice rink on the green outside - at night it's just beautiful!

It is a beautiful place. I love it! I was hoping to get home next week, but still need to find out if I have the week free or not. I hope I do - I want to be back there now!

    Seriously?! That's awesome! That almost seems bad for business, yet good for business at the same time;

"Hello, me and my wife and little girl here would like a room for the night."

Receptionist-"Okay, well, I see that it's almost midnight, would you like to stay in our haunted suite, it's free?"

    "Free you say, why's that?

Receptionist-"Well, in 1821 a young man and his bride stayed in that room for their honeymoon, at midnight the other residents heard a scream and went to check on what was going on. They found the young groom sitting in the rocking chair holding the severed heard of his bride. Right at midnight you can still hear her scream and some have claimed to be able to hear her head roll across the floor."

"Free you said? I'll take it!"

That sounds awesome! You're so lucky. I'd love to be able to go to a castle. Apparently Tower of London is quite haunted.

The coolest old place I've been so far was this house out in the country. It was built as a hotel in the early 1800's as it was halfway between the major city and the river where people came in on boats. It's an antiques place now. Very cool house. I bought a typewriter from the lady, her grandfather was the one who built the house.

    Sounds brilliant!

If someone was beheaded just a few months ago - I wouldn't be too keen on staying in that room. Yet, someone like that happened in the 1800s or earlier - I am all for it!

My favorite story of the Tower is of the two little princes, they are meant to still be around.

That house sounds lovely. I come from a 'boating' family, so all things boat related interest me.

:( I want to go to a place where there's been beheadings....

Ah! I forgot! I've been to Fort Henry in Kingston Ontario. People have died there! It's haunted too. It's kind of like a castle military fort. I walked through these underground tunnels and I almost didn't fit because they were built by tiny little englishmen back in the 19th century.

I've also been through the house of our first Prime Minister, it was amazing!
