I am boiling my ham bones and making pea soup today.

I hate pea soup.:ack2:

Everyone else likes it though.

 

I just put on a pot of minestrone soup. Directions; 'Heat and serve'.

 

you are a lunartic, you know that right?

 

Split pea soup is the Food of the Gods.

 

I'm aware of that...I actually did just put on a pot of soup, I looked on the side of the can to see if I should add water and under the directions it just said, 'Heat and serve'. It made me feel somewhat remedial.

 

That's very sloppy instructional format. It should have been stated in steps, like so:

Step 1: Open can. (A can opener may be purchased at your local grocer or department store, if you don't already have one.)
Step 2: Pour contents of can into heating pot.
Step 3: Place pot on top of heating surface and turn heat on.
Step 4: Continue heating, stirring occasionally, until soup reaches desired temperature.
Step 5: Turn off heat.
Step 6: Serve soup in a bowl.
Step 7: Eat soup.

See? It's really not as easy as they made it sound.

 

I smashed 2 fingers and skinned the side of my leg stacking firewood... Sometimes I think I'm an accident waitin' to happen...

I am ready to sleep. I have a horrible headache and this day has been awful in more ways than one. I'm going to go snuggle up for a while.

 

My kids love it so I make it. According to them it is really good but I never taste it, instead they have to.

It is the only soup I do not care for and I have no idea why.

 

I have my jeans and gloves hanging by the woodstove to dry...

 

i know why...because it looks awful and tastes worse..there is a reason why they subbed pea soup in for vomit during the filming of the Exorcist ....broccoli soup with cheddar or potato soup...mmmmmmm

Hair gets to be a pain in the ass when it gets long... dreading it will give me years extra growing time... lol

I did that last night with an armful of wood and my toes... I have to remember that just because the house is warm, doesn't mean I shouldn't put my boots on when getting wood.... lol

RF: Once for an office potluck I made Reconstituted Vegetable Protein Soup.

Not many people tried it - I don't know why...

I just got back from hiking in the snow storm.

 

I should shower, but I'm going out later and I don't want my hair to be wet, I'm certain that's how I got sick in the first place. It takes at least 2 hours to dry.

 

I like winter rain...it melts the snow pile so then I have more room to plow the stuff we'll be getting in feb and march

 

Took a ride though the woods on the 4 wheeler...Had a little trouble gettin' the door open to the building we keep our 4 wheeler in...Wanted to take a ride in the snow before it melts...
