He forever ruined my image of Aerosmith when he fell off stage, cancelled their tour with ZZ Top and rather than tour again to make up for it, the fucker joined American Idol.

So I went out tonight and bought some new guitar strings and a new chromatic tuner. The strings I had on my guitar previously were 12-54 gauge, hard as fuck, like string gauge doesn't get any more difficult. They were jazz strings with a wound third. I hadn't played this guitar in a couple of months so when I came back to it, my fingers were too weak. Bends were extremely difficult and it cut into my finger tips. I'll go back to that gauge soon likely. The 12 gauge btw means that the heaviest string, the low E, thickness is a 12th of an inch.

I put three even shims in a row under the neck to try and counteract the concave in the neck, helped a little bit. The new strings I bought and put on are 10-46, weak ass, but necessary for now. I can bend them into infinity! I cranked the truss rod once more, any more and I'll break it, end up ruining a $200 neck.

I intonated it and set it up really good, took me 2 and a half hours. Anyways, it plays pretty well now. The action is still higher than most would ever play, but it'll have to do. If anything it'll make me appreciate a good guitar set-up when I play one. Make my fingers stronger.

We got enough damn snow today, a good couple of inches. I'm sure people will want to be buying them this weekend.

    That's what she said

Anyways, I'm sure people will be buying them up soon. Hopefully for you anyways. You sure as hell don't want to be in the middle of March with a plethora of snowblowers...
