Random Facts XXVII - New Year's Edition

I finally figured out a way to reply to emails with my phone ...it wouldnt work with the regular browser thing but it works with opera mini

 

also the rain has melted most of the snow...I can see grass wherever snow hasnt been piled up last month....but its getting cold later this afternoon and everything will freeze into glare ice Im sure

 

us too...all the snow is gone...debating to go out on the trail for an hour or 2

 

its just the shoveled/plowed areas here and some yards that didnt have much due to wind...going in the bush would be a nightmare

 

I just bought 12 pair of my favourite short black socks. That should last me until next year....

 

I have a feeling I will be cutting a lot of people out of my life this year. It feels good.

 

Ive been doing that for the last six months...due to problems Ive been declining many jobs ...the downside is that my income has dropped substantially but the upside is Ive discovered who the real friends are.

 

I did that this year, it's refreshing to the soul.

Random fact - tomorrow I am doing something I should have done a long time ago!!

 

finished yesterday a left hand screw and nut for a friend of mine. it goes into replace a part in a lathe from 1899. major pain in the ass. it was an odd size so i came up with the thread depths and tolerances. grinding the tool to cut the internal threads was a pain in the ass too because of such little clearance combined having to grind away as little as possible for needed rigidity.

 

I need a wee. Yup.

I'm a massive Coen's fan, so it's an early highlight of 2011 for me.

 

BBAD is now in my closet....

He'll be in there for 2 weeks then its IB's turn..

 

I'm a big Coen's fan too, plus I watched the original with John Wayne a few times so it'll be interesting to see how they compare.

 

I think some real rocknroll is in order..
