Well I saw the doc yesterday. I have hearing loss in both my ears I was pretty upset had the worst panic attack. It’s some type of sucrose’s (not sure if that’s how you spell it) I guess he was saying the middle part of my ear has calcium in the bone part so it’s not vibrating like it should. He said some people leave it go untreated or I could get a hearing aid or surgery worst case scenario. Not sure what to do? I could leave it go, like some people do. Or I could get the hearing aid. I guess I could just live with it since I already been living with it for some time. I dunno I guess it would be great to be able to hear allot better out of both ears. Allot of times I don’t hear what other people are saying and I pretend like I do so I don’t look stupid. My mom said it’s up to me. If my meda care would pay for it. Then maybe I would consider it. my hearing loss has nothing too do with me being dizzy. he thinks it's all the meds I take

    Sorry, Jenn. :(

I think "scleroses" is the word you were trying for.

Seems to me you should get a hearing aid, cuz you're missing out on stuff, and you don't need to. And eventually you probably want to get the surgery, if Medicare would pay for it. Just my opinion, of course. ;)

My grandpa on my dad's side used a hearing aid. That was in the days when they had the ear plug with the cord to a transistorized pack that you put in your pocket. A lot of times he would turn the hearing aid down to shut everybody out, and he'd go sit in a corner and read. :D

I've made 2 trips to the Social Security office and spent 4 hours answering questions for them this week, yet it's going to take them approximately 120 days to get back to me.

Well surgery was a last resort and he didn't want to go down that road. He was just letting me know that was an option. If they will pay for a hearing aid then I would defiantly go that route. I will call the docs and see if my health coverage will pay for that

Yup, I agree - surgery as a last option, only if your hearing gets bad enough to warrant it. :2thumbsup: I hope it works out okay to get the hearing aid. :)
