I just re-read The Damnation Game, by Clive Barker - nothing else to do when the power was out after the hurricane - just read or argue with my wife - which would YOU choose?

On my bed with my laptop - yes, the love of my life - drinking Barefoot pinot grigio, waiting until my wife comes back from taking daughter number 2 to the art store to buy a sketch pad, waiting until she demands access to the dialup line to work on her sermon for Sunday service, occasionally listening to my download of Left Banke singing "Walk Away Renee." It's a great tear-jerker, especially after I get some more wine in me...

i am 2k away from the fairgrounds and it sounds like the announcer is standing on my street,,,the demo derby is going on right now...yu can hear engines revving from here

i am just hanging out at home tonight libra....its still early..i could still get in some trouble tonight

 

I am considering shutting off my cable and electricity for a month...

im cooling off in front of a fan...its freaking hot today

i was also playing with all my cameras getting the batteries charged and cleaning lenses,,,clearing memory cards etc...

and then the usual waiting for messages or a phone call from a girl

i found a used hot water tank...electric..for 50 bucks on kijiji

 

you probably could have found a free one by talking to any gas installer...people throw out good electric ones when switching to gas


random fact...my garage compressor is a 4 cylinder and the tank is a huge electric hot water tank someone was throwing out...we stripped off all the insulation and cleaned it then painted it and it works and looks great

 

ya i know...i am still trying to find a freebie...dont give up on me yet...my theory is that my kid cannot take a 40 minute shower if there is only 7 minutes of hot water?..the gas one is a big 70 gallon and he will use ALL of it...he has been learning the hard way cause he has to take cold ones for the time being
