This represents the ultimate in 'hippy shite' I do not like this music. I post it here only as a warning to others of just how puerile things can get, and did get in the UK underground scene of the 70's. http://youtu.be/-J9Dxy-OlXE
From the best 60s sunshine pop record ever recorded... http://youtu.be/-WEgdyP3O2w Good song for hippies.

You need to listen to the entire Supreme Clientele album, which just might be my favorite hip-hop album ever.
Thanks for the tip, I'll download it :2thumbsup: I only now feel I should have checked Topnotchstoners hip hop shit too... but yeah, it doesn't come across when you're not interested in a particular kind of music at all (not certain it's my kind of gangsta rap either, but at least i'm interested to listen it now). I'll snoop through some old 'now playing' threads when I have time
I like any type of hip-hop if the production and beats are good. When it comes to vocals, I usually just pay attention to the delivery, not what if anything is being said in those lyrics. With a rapper like Ghostface, it's mostly stream of consciousness and makes little sense, but the way he delivers those vocals and the flow with which he presents them is where his appeal lies. With an album like Supreme Clientele, the entire package is solid, from the vocals to the overall production.
I think we look for the same things in hip hop. I even enjoyed a song of Notorious BIG who, I also noticed, has some serious retarded lyrics
One of my favorite hip-hop albums from this year is the new Freddie Gibbs and Madlib album. The lyrics are your typical, run of the mill gangsta rap, but combined with Madlib's mindblowing production it seems to work. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnZV7C2KrQU"]Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Lakers (feat.
