I love tomatoes....I even like fried green tomatoes.... I baked a green tomato pie yesterday for one of the guys my hubby works with.....
We need rain....got a few drops yesterday.....

 

Our maters are coming on big now, still green, lots of green beans, carrots, brussel sprouts, lettuce, cukes and popcorn a bit later....

 

yes we have no bananas

 

I have 10 things in the mail on their way here

 

i always have a favoured pen.

 

i used to sleep out in the pen too

now i am allowed in the house

 

I'm eating chinese takeout

Wow. I've never heard of a green tomato pie before. How do you make it?

 

yeah i am curious...please post yer recipe.....oh darlin ''please believe me''...

 

(Green Tomato Pie)
2 cups chopped green tomatoes
1 cup sugar
1 tbs. flour
2 tbs. vinegar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. allspice

Put in crust...Bake at 450 for about 10 minutes...then turn oven down to 350 and bake another 30 minutes....

They say it tastes a little like apple pie....
