Yeah, true. That's why I am a big supporter of teaching kids multiple languages from an early age. So you know English, French, Mandarin, some Arabic lol. That's pretty impressive.
time spent on assignment in hours = time it felt like it would take = .... in any unit of time: coefficient of the age of the universe, years, hours, minutes, nanoseconds, planck times, or second(s). sometime an hour and a half feels like eternity
^^^^ Go Down To The Store And Buy Yourself A Conventional Clock Like The Rest Of Us Use. I Just Got A Migrane Reading That Post..... Cheers Glen.
It's an advicing referendum, which means that the outcome can still be ignored by the government (which would be unwise of course) Apparently most people voted against it so in this case it doesn't bother me that it is only advicing So far it seems about 32% of the dutch voters has actually voted, 30% was the minimum to take this result seriously. If it was below that it would be regarded that not enough people care to vote about it themselves and the referendum's outcome would not have any merit. This was hoped for by a lot of people who are for the association agreement and is also part of the reason why not more than 32% has taken the effort to go voting. Very stupid of course, to assume the nay sayers are just as passive as them.
I read about it in the news earlier. It's a pity when people get the chance to vote on something like this that a lot are too apathetic to bother. Even if the government isn't bound by the result still it's a chance to influence policy. In the UK there are fears that a lot of young people won't vote in the EU referendum (which will be binding on the government). I think they should, as they will be the ones most affected by the result.
My state got its first and only In-'N'-Out Burger in my own home town. The hype for opening day was out of control. People came from 4 hours away to be there on opening day. It's a pretty big chain in the Southwest, and now its working it's way northward.
Never thought I’d see the day CHINO, Calif. (AP) — A California panel recommended parole Thursday for former Charles Manson follower Leslie Van Houten more than four decades after she and other cult members went to prison for the notorious killings of a wealthy grocer and his wife. The now-66-year-old Van Houten was "numb" after the panel announced its decision following a five-hour hearing at the California Institution for Women in Chino, said her attorney Rich Pfeiffer. i don't much care for mic-dogs or burger peasant myself. i'd be seriously happier to live where franchising hadn't replaced mom and pop greasy spoons. the crazy chicken is ok, and subway, though the latter disapoints me that it isn't more about trains. stars and bux is ok, but i think they want more bux then they really need to. to eat anything there, but it is worth not being hassled by retarded drunks. a lot of things that started out in yuppieville have become surprisingly reasonable, mostly do to everything else having become more expensive faster. i remember when jack had the first drive up window in the town where i lived at the time, it even looked like a box, with that big creepy face on a spring thing on top of the roof. i don't remember if it had a big wind up handle on the side, but i wouldn't be surprised if it did. the good thing about the 50s wasn't the cars, but that there were still trains, trollies, and places that didn't enforce building codes. well the trollys got reinvented as light rail and we have four times as many trains, but only going half as many places, and for between ten and twenty times as many people.
I can't go into town without seeing people who look like Phil Robertson: wearing camo, scowling and sporting beards that look like something a buzzard would lay eggs in.
What's with these things in the ears people are doing these days? The holes on the bottom of the ear are HUGE! I can't look at them....it is gross...what they have done to their ears. I also get upset when I see a baby with pierced ears that is not even out of diapers yet. I am happy my parents never went for that shit or decided to put holes in my body.
Oh, but do I have to? I have a whole box of clip on earrings...and i can't say I wear any of them.... ...some are huge, but if I ever were to wear any of them, i could at least take them off, and rub out my soft velvet ear drums that only hurt from being clipped all day....I am just playing with you now....lol...here is another one...let me kiss your ears, um, I mean earrings or ear plugs or whatever those things are called.... I am for freedom of expression and i do accept what ever anyone wants to do to their own bodies with sound mind and old enough to make that decision for themself.... Anyway, in news today, Billy Paul died at age 80....legend soul singer...i know..i hear....Who? from some of you.... he was most known for this song..... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If4di0jmE5A
I hope that this entire article with the photos can appear here, if I copy and paste it, but I will share the link from Dodo about a cow, in case photos do not show up. The photos really make the article priceless....and animals don't have feelings or intelligence?.....and many slaughter these daily and they live unspeakably horrible lives many of them to feed us and many of the people slaughtering them do not think twice.....and in factory farming.....some are beaten, limbs broken, partially slaughtered and just left to die. This is the kind of shit I hate about mankind......when they do that and don;t care at all. Anyway, this article and photos are not about that.....It is about a loveable cow...as all animals can be. I guess I will just have to put link here, as there are too many photos and some videos. https://www.thedodo.com/australian-cow-breaks-into-home-1753723122.html#australian-cow-breaks-into-home-1753723122.html
Ear gauging originated from the primitive tribes if Sub Saharan Africa. Not only do they do ear gauging, but they also do lip gauging when they put discs the size of CDs in their lips. I made a comment to a negative hipster stereotype about him having 'African style ear discs' and it made him really cranky for some reason.
