when will people realize that sage can not rap, all he fuckn does is complain about other poets and rappers, and then talk about how awesome he is. he doesnt rap about anything important. you would think that when you see his ablum and it's called personal journals, although the bass line and the sitar in the first 2 songs is pretty tight, i just hate his voice and his words.

mainstream rap is overplayed and so is mainstream pop-punk .

I am definately against commercial rap and the whole 'Bling Bling, buy my records' shit but has anyone heard The Streets (probably a British thing)? I'd consider it more of 'cockney urban poetry' than anything. It seems to have a little bit more meaning and seem a bit more heartfelt than most of the trash that invades the UK charts.

i've said it before but i'll say it again. after 'pac and biggie left the game there was no real competition for rappers, so now you've got sh*t rappers like Jin (the chinese guy) getting an easy pass to success.

also i would do anything for 'pac, biggie and all the rap legends to put their differences aside and to release a song like 'hit em up' to put the pop mainstream rappers in their place.

    if only...

p.s in response to the thread yes mainstream 'rap' is overplayed as it shouldn't be played at all.
