Right now, the House of Representatives is still trying to pass a bill that a majority of Republicans and Democrats in the Senate have already said they won’t vote for. It’s a plan that would force us to re-live this crisis in just a few short months, holding our economy captive to Washington politics once again. In other words, it does not solve the problem, and it has no chance of becoming law. :argue: ---- Straight from Obama,s lips to our ears- - 7/29/11 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This guy had a lot of people bamboozed during election time. He is a great orater, but doesnt seem to have any plan for the "change" platform he ran on. He Says> "We are now running out of time. It’s important for everybody to step up and show the leadership that the American people expect". Imo he is one of the main characters that hasnt stepped to the leadership that this country needs- that this country could get behind. iT seems that he doesnt have the stindeens it takes . or maybe he really is in over his head I see a 1 term guy for sure- -
The bill has passed, and business as usual prevailed. Maybe once the debt interest payment exceeds the GDP some rational thinking will begin. Obama has brought more of us to HOPE for a CHANGE, and 2012 may be the last chance for survival and freedom. Might it be true that Obama is thinking of pardoning Bernie Madoff to replace Geithner as Secretary of the Treasury?
I don't think Obama ever had a chance, he was set up to fail. Like a driver being asked to win a race with a broken car.
i go down deeper in my belief that all US presidents are created equal - puppets. if tomorrow Obama goes on worldwide TV and confesses «know what. berlusconi was not kidding. no racism from his side. im not even black, just tanned. youre such babies, haha» that would not amaze me by the least bit, at this point.
Apparently the mind control campaign is losing its effectiveness... that is I tend to agree with PR. Addressing the premise on which the OP was based, please define success. My growing sense is that the job of the prez is to help create a convincing illusion that legislation/bills/policies not only are in the interest of the general public but also originate with members of congress. Retrospect suggests to me that the modern day president most qualified to do the actual work that is purchased by funding the election campaign was Ronald Reagan, who had previously enjoyed a successful acting career in Hollywood. The office of the presidency is as worthless as the federal reserve notes that today's treasury keeps churning out.
Some people even gave Obama a ten which compliments him on his counter-fastidious lying more then he deserves. Some "debt ceiling"; was that over the compliance to government dealings by the manufacturing sector over common public job creation? Jpbs must be long lasting and American content; of course, there was also the health occupation. I'll stay out of that one; I give him an eight.
Yes! As a socialist libertarian myself (libertarian methods for socialist objectives, I know it sounds like a contradiction), I nevertheless believe that Reagan was a great leader. He succeeded in making Americans feel good about being American, he delivered his comments and speeches beautifully, he came across as very likeable and trustworthy... I disagreed with him on countless issues but I have to give him credit for a masterful job as the Wizard of Oz. Plus, in hindsight I now believe he did help end the threat of WWIII and bring down the Soviet empire, while being a great friend of Gorbachev so as to develop optimal influence on the Soviet leadership. As for Obama, he has been ineffective partly because of congress but in large part because he's an appeaser, he has not been forceful and he's not a good leader. His campaign speeches gave me chills and I had tears of joy when he won, after that it was all downhill. We need a president like FDR or LBJ, someone who forcefully rams through legislation. All accounts of LBJ say he was pretty much an asshole, yet look what he did - Civil Rights and the "war on poverty" for example. Whether the latter led to better things or not is up for debate but it was an accomplishment that Obama never could have achieved. It's hard to gauge Obama fairly when he's up against the most radical right-wing congress and American populace since the McCarthy era, so I gave him a 6.
Obama's promises: End the wars, Afghanistan still rages. Close GITMO, still open. End welfare for millionaires, tax cuts still there. Cut spending and reduce the deficit, BWAH HA HA HA HA! Fix health care, ?????? Other than that, he's given the republicans 98% of what they want according to the republican House Speaker.
Obama's success?? -9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999.99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999e+9999999999999999999999999999999999
