Thought you all might enjoy this one I was at a huge party (10,000+) last weekend, outdoor in the middle of nowhere, but it was permitted and had police. I was straight up shitfaced when I walked in, I drank ridiculous (epic) before this because I rarely roll anymore. I was just bouncing around checking out stages and dancing, and it must have been awhile because it was dark when this happened. I went up to go chill with the police and bullshit (wtf?), not security, but full on sheriffs (i'm underage for drinking), and this conversation Cop: "They like the lights because they're on Ecstasy, right?" Me: "Yea alot of them are." ??? Me: "Most of them grow out of it. They do this for awhile, and eventually move on." Cop: "Eh, I can understand that. That's not such a problem." Right then I realized I was rolling (lol), and that my friend had given me a green rhino earlier (i had forgotten), and it was pulling me towards the stage of euphoric lights and endless grooves of the music they call House! Cop: "Take care" they need better smiley faces, for stories like that.
i hope to oneday :sifone: i am trying to work it into my 3 year plan!! fuck yeah! thanks for sharing that story. hope you weren't pissed he slipped you that pill, well maybe you knew! but man that sounds like an awesome time, place, and mad chill cops.
i definatly agree to have a rave forum. im pretty new to the scene, just started in this year. ive heard that the scene has gone downhill alot but i still have so much fun at all of the parties ive been too. i love the outdoor ones in the mountains the best. WV is a gorgeuos place
west virginia is absolutely gorgeous i learned that last year when i went to all good fuck guys its quite obvious my location sucks!! if only raves were like lucy, patience will allow you to find one...not the case unfortunately
I agree that WV is amazing. I've lived here for 22 years now. Just please do me a favor and help keep my state clean? A lot of tourists don't know how to respect the land.
its funny you say that after my post...ironic really cuz im the loser (though i know im not a loser) that picks up trash when she goes hiking so i feel you leave places cleaner than when you found em, it is the best way to travel/camp etc...
went to skylab colorado this past weekend! was sick. Rabbit in the Moon, Irene, & Ghosh were badass. anybody been to anything good lately?
saw bassnectar, glitch mob, dj dan, mark farina, donald glaude and doc martin earlier this month at that party where i was shitfaced kicking it with that group of sheriffs. saw shpongle + ott earlier in the summer, that was the opening set was good too, this live dnb duo big gigantic, check them out saw daedelus like 3 times already this year. if he is ever in town, go see him, he will seriously blow your mind.. --i heard rabbit in the moon live is pretty incredible, might check them out in september when they're around again, still never seen them.
oh yea, after the parties i always make sure to have a couple trashbags to clean shit up. besides, if the place is always trashed, the owner of the land will get sick of it and stop throwing the parties! completly unrelated story, but for a while ive been looking for a job with no luck. Fall Explosion (check it out if you live near the Maryland WV border) is comin up soon and i was bummed out thinking id be too broke to go. well on my way back from philly i got a ticket. of course this pisses me off. since i have no money i had to use savings bonds i have for college tuition to pay the ticket. well because of the type of bonds they are and how long ive had them i ended up getting $250 more than i expected. so now i have the funds to go! heh, the world works in mysterious ways
I went to Freak Night 13 in Seattle this year and saw Benassi, Ferry Corsten, Yogi, Dirty Phonics, Deekline and Wizard, Johnny Monsoon, Kill the Noise, Le Castle Vania, Craze.... I can't remember the rest...I was reallllllly rolled. Totally amazing, though.
