Lovely so instead of losing an argument and learning something, I'll be welcomed with puddles of drool and questions about noodles in return for my attempt at discussion.

For the most part the politics forum has either die hard liberals or conspiracy buffs, who go off in tangents rather then remain on one topic, and insult anyone who disagrees.

I thought Hinckley shot Reagan because he was trying to impress Jodie Foster.

 

He did have an obsession with her, but I have to wonder if that wasn't a forethought for the whole thing.

 

apparently he had an obsession with the film Taxi Driver and planned out the assassination attempt to mimic DeNiro's character. I guess he thought Foster would find all that very attractive. of course, I read all this from a source of questionable reliability.
as much as I'm in favor of someone killing the president, I don't want it to be some misfit who got the idea from a fucking Scorcese film.

Having him constantly harrass a celebrity is a great way to ruin his credibility from the go as well as offering an alternative agenda that's easy to latch on to. Which would keep people from digging up details trying to figure it out.

Really though, can you picture that kind of coincidence actually taking place?

btw, my rock band's name is the ted kennnedy's cause we're always drinking and crashing when we play. and totally getting away with it.

 

I see very little point in assasinating a president unless you manage to get his entire cabinet at the same time. I think that is kinda difficult, though.
