Some day we'll be lucky and they will die. And we can be left with still crappy tV. Weather its reality or not. Most of it sucks anyways
The only two that I enjoy but still would not plan my day around watching would be the Apprentice and MTV’s Real World. I like Real World – which I consider one of the original reality shows in USA - because it’s not a contest, you have an opportunity to see friendships and conflicts develop. The concepts of some of these are just plan stupid.
Interesting that this thread was created in 2004 and how many reality shows have come and gone since then. I'm not sure when reality tv will reach its peak and die off. Perhaps never because people usually always enjoy watching other people with their trials and tribulations. I have a few reality shows I enjoy watching, mostly the ones that actually help people in their time of need or help them get their lives back on track. Shows like MTV's Punk'd are absurd, in my not-so-humble opinion.
Am I alone in thinking that calling them "reality" shows is an affront to reality? By what definition does a bunch of nomark uncelebrated celebrities milking pig's cocks constitute reality? I don't mind watching them sometimes, they're better filler than the soaps, but I do wonder how they can keep marketting them as "real".
