There is a definite lack of sunlight so my vegetable garden is pretty pathetic, but the mushrooms are great!
fuck pine trees. That's an expandeable spruce platform built on a hemlock -- with custom made steel joints! Hemlock may be shitty trees for lumber, but they sure make a good treehouse foundation! find anything interesting? What mushrooms do you look for? I hunt for morels, chanterels, puff-balls, turkeytail, pine and of course psylocybe. I actually found a lot of morels this year while I was treeplanting -- and even a few in the city, and some puff-balls at my cottage. I even found some psylocybe too, but they were growing next to death angels so I didn't pick em
The main edible mushroom we have is the Hedgehog mushrooms, but we also have chanterelles and some boletes. We do have some Liberty Caps as well. We live in a Spruce forest, so we have a huge diversity of mushrooms. I am better at identifying plants, but I am working on my knowledge of fungi!
