$80, considering a set of average/low quality wheels are around $20. I paid $450 just for the boots and plates.
Hmm, I wouldn't say it's worth it.. they rip people off insanely, but you know.. that's where they get ya
Hm....I'm not so sure about that. Just like anything else in life, if you want quality, long lasting products, you have to be willing pay for it.
I agree, it kind of depends on the specific sport attributes. Some you obviously need for your sport and they better have a good quality too. On the other hand, when I see people jogging here in the park some do it on bare feet in their pants they also sit with on their couch, others have the most expensive shoes and also wear a fitting sport attire. Not sure who tricked them into buying all that, it could be their own wish of course Personally I would buy relatively cheap running shoes if I choose to go joggin on a regular basis. But walking is much better and can be done in pretty much any pair of shoes, so maybe people are tricked into doing expensive sports firstly and most of all?
:Iagree: I think this depends on a lot of different factors. Someone who causally jogs less than 10 miles a week, sure, they can get away with cheap shoes. When I was running 15-20 miles per week, there is no way I could get away with doing that in low quality running shoes. Performance, comfort, how long they last, and arch support are all really important. That being said, I bought a pair of $30 minimalist sketchers, and I like them much better than any of the more expensive brands I've had (asic, ryka, sacony, etc.)
I agree you've gotta be willing to pay, the extra does make a difference to increase performance.. but, what I mean is, that doesn't mean it's not a ripoff.
^^^I dig that smile. There were a couple of dudes under the sheets when I crawled into bed last night.
