I've gone out twice so far this year and have struck out both times. Plenty of fishing coming soon though.

 

This pic could have been taken in a new building estate area in the Netherlands (probably UK) as well!

 

Dude ive had such bad luck til yesterday. Its weird. They bit like crazy for an hour then just stopped

That happens to me too sometimes. A friend and I were floating around an old rock quarry one morning and catching one impressive catfish after another. We were really surprised....nothing but damn nice fish....as easy as dropping the bait in the water. At about 10 am they just stopped biting. We left to get more bait and fished for a while later and we didn't get even a small nibble on the line after 10 am.

Ugh, you mean neighborhoods look like that all over the world? Those have popped up everywhere here in the last 15 years. I hate that cheap ticky tacky design and they're all super over priced, plus they're all built on what used to be beautiful farmland and that makes me sad.

Me too, it looks comfortable (if that's what gives you comfort) but looks too plain and boring. And well, not all newer neighbourhoods (I'm talking about north/western europe, not the whole world) look like that but most will give you this feeling like that it is all cheap design. They make it look 'fresh' I guess, in color and with some space between, a childrens playground here and a pond over there but essentially it all feels like 'a dime a dozen'.

edit: what makes me think of that it could be taken in the netherlands also is that Deranged looks fairly dutch to me there as well :biggrin: (this can surely only be regarded as a compliment!)

I have not travelled the length and breadth of the UK.
However, it is more likely there would be a canals rather than lakes near a housing estate such as that. But I did find one:

Spent some time outdoors today. Beautiful day here in WNY, though a bit cool. Drove down to the lake and walked around a bit. Snapped some pictures while I was there.
