2021 was the year I started noticing that the air around the place smelled noticeably fresher. I have been here for 12 years, and it is now the nicest, hippest, it has been in that time. Looking forward to getting to know more of the nice people here.

"...reader who just so happens to explore our sexy community..."

My favorite area. Many topics, certainly educational and enlightening for many, pushing the envelope for some, but carefully-moderated and watched over.

I became more active here and became a mod.

Made some cool interesting friends. And burned a few bridges. I was very careful with that process.

A lot of changes happened here in all of 2021. We learned to not let wannabe children ruin this place. Because we're grown adults.

    Looking forward to 2022.

Omicron of which is an embarrassment to Delta is starving it because it is more viral where Delta spends it's energy upon symptoms. If only this keeps up until a future mutation becomes the end of it.

The Labour Party is numerically larger than the Limp Dems, so its likely, but I'm not enamoured of either of them !!!

a year of not having a new outrage everyday, i'm happy and thankful for that. condolences to gb for still having one of those.
not much else to say for the year past except again grateful it wasn't one of the four years previous to it.

a couple of stimulus infusions and a cost of living long overdue upgrade, though still lagging behind actual cost increases.
everybody wanting to hire somebody, now that i'm over 70. oh why could that not have been 50 or even just 30 years ago.

of course the reason nobody wants to go back to work, is the risk of getting sick if they do.
which everyone tries to pretend isn't there, but can't escape it being in the back of their mind.

maybe if more news were about creative things, new ideas being tried and some or most of them working,
you know this is what i'm always looking forward to, and we do have the big scope on its way to L2,
and earlier in the year we had this first drone flight on mars, a robot launching another robot,
and it all worked and almost no one noticed how cool, amazing and wonderful that was.

and we even have a president who knows what a train is.
that may not sound so amazing for europe and parts of asia,
but for america that's been a rare thing for most of my life.

and people, i thing a lot of people, everywhere, are starting to realize how important the forest, and the diversity of life, is for their own.
maybe not entirely understanding it, but having at least some vague idea of a connection.

its been a year, if not of a rediscovery of wonders, at least one of a crack of light, and the hint of a tiny bit of hope that brings.
