> Look at any world map. Britain sits off the coast of Europe not 'in Europe'! Besides that it's government refuses to become part of Europe even though it was invited by the EU...
......... Thats way england is doing better than the rest of europe ......... anyway, do me a favour, shut up ........
Dont insult me you arrogant, obnoxious person. I happen to LIVE in England...how dare you assume i dont know where my country sits in the world, whilst sticking up for someone who said "you dont even live in america, so you cant comment"? Correct me if im wrong, but it appears that this statement is saying that Americans know more about America than Europeans do. So does this not work both ways then? Dont europeans(even Brits) know more about Europe than you do? Of course i know that Britain is an island. But it is still a part of Europe...all islands belong to a continent. You dont get the continents and the islands...you get a world of continents which have islands belonging to them. Get your malnourished brain back into a classroom. -Maxi.
Bleh, i got angry...this whole orleans things fired me up quite a bit. But, what you said to me was like telling an aussie they live in the southern hemisphere and expectin them to be enlightened.
What does me being in direct disagreement with my government have to do with any of this? As it happens, i am. But a lot of the PEOPLE of britain feel European...i was born European, and i am going to live in France next year. I certainly identify more with European policy than with, say, American policy...However, this stuffs irrelevant and for another thread. For now Id like to ask if you could please not put things i did not write in quotation blocks. -Maxi.
well, i think at least we can come to the conclusion that pretty much everyone thinks it's rude to laugh at people when they're in pain. unless they're americans in pain, in which case, they deserve it for having bush as a president, even though these paticular people most likely didn't vote for him. they DID however, vote into office the local and state leaders who left them terribly in the lurch, even though that "vote" often involves not bothering to vote at all. and our geography teachers had no right to teach us that the british isles are in any way a part of the european land mass/continent.
And why exactly did you think i was so outraged if i was merely LAUGHING at those people in pain? Why do you think i bothered posting about the people of Orleans in the first place? I saw that news item and felt ashamed, disgusted, angry and hurt...i felt for those people, which is why i became angry. And for the last time, Britain is part of the continent of Europe. I do not understand how this can be so difficult to grasp. Go on google! type in keywords....Europe, Britain.... I do not know anyone who is laughing at these people. I do not know anyone who does not sympathise with them just because they are american. I was just so disgusted at the government. That is all. -Maxi.
Ranger- Just read my own post. I do not see me putting anything you didnt type in a quotation block. -Maxi.
whoa, i don't remember addressing you. i was merely mocking the whole thread in general. go have a draught on me.
