I wouldn't give him that much credit. Content can and will always compete with shock value (esp. when the content of the posts with shock value is clear nonsense), but yes, people find it easier to react quickly to what they find preposterous. Therefor he is deliberately taking the easy way and wants to provoke and rile people up about the stances he supposedly has taken. It's all about attention indeed, playing with concepts like freedom and individuality, but never about being right or taking notice of other's ideas on that (generally tells you something ). Yeah, look back at the last two pages, and count how many posts are all about fixing somebody who is only here to break things.

What proof do you think I need that a large number of Republicans are running for President, and a small number of Democrats? It's true that I haven't personally interviewed each and every American, asked if they were running for office, and asked their party membership.
