she waas under the influence of a very powerful drug! like i said before it olny takes on e, thats right one hit to become addicted, and at that point the user looses the ability to make right and sound choices. HEROIN is the most powerful, dangerous , inexpensive and easily accesable drug on the us market right now, u would be surprised who is doing the drug. people make mistakes , unless they are perfect like you, this HEROIN GIRL obviously could not kick the habit on her own and in my book THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR. 40 OR 1000 DOLLARS STOLEN FROM ME BY MY ADDICTED FRIEND IS NOT GOING TO MAKE ME GIVE UP ON HER. A FEW HUNDRED GALLONS OF GAS WON'T MAKE ME GIVE UP ON HER. THAT'S WHAT FRIENDS ARE FOR. period.................

 

You and all of us know what herion is and what heroin causes. This girl didn't came from Jupiter and tried heroin don't knowing what it is. She was AWARE in what she was going into. She made a mistake, but she have to pay for it, everyone have to pay for their mistakes. I'm not perfect, but i don't expect someone to be alwaus beside me, solving my problems, and paying MY MISTAKES. If i make a mistke, a true friend could help me to stand back on my feet, but NOT risq his relationships or the things that are important to his life, that would be selfis for me to ask, or for me to alow to happen.

mlee if you would really do that for someone you must be a better person than me, but i think it wouldn't be fair to her if i didn't allow her to have consequences for her actions towards me. she was under the influence, so i will cut her some slack, but if i devote my life to helping her, how is that fair to me, or her? she is a big girl and has asked for help and i am here for her, but i would never ever ask that much of a friend as you are saying, and I think it would be more detrimental to her to think she could take advantage of me and continue to use and use and use and have me always by her side. Sometimes to help a person you must let them see their own mistakes and let them get help on their own, and not because someone is pushing and pushing the issue.
I dont know, I feel satisfied with myself and how I handled things. I know I am a good friend to all of my friends and they are the same to me.
and you also must remember that I wasnt exactly in a position to be helping her with her addiction because I was trying to get over mine, so hanging around her only put both of us at risk to use again. We needed this time, and it worked out well for us.

 

she is paying for her mistakes her daughter is obviously not healthy and from what her "friend " says she has been making attempts to straighten her life out. people who judge people by the mistakes they make are self riteous, pompous, and lack the skills to empathize. i treat my friends like i do my family and if my mom was making mistakes with drugs or bad choices i would be there in a heartbeat, i cannot choose my family but i do choosse my friends and by choosong them i make a consience effort to treat them with love, honor and respect. what kind of freind would i be if i turned my back on a chosen friend who chose the wrong path in her life. funny this room is titled relationships"so don't be afraid to learn. i have a friend who i have known for years and he is an addict, and unfortunatley it got the better of him, ihave never turned my back on him. he has stolen from us, vomited all over my house on numerous occassions and in general been a pain in the ass. i could never live with myself knowing i turned my back on him or shunned him because of his situation. my bf loves me and he also knows the type of person i am, if my friends or family needs me for anything and it is within my means i'm there for them, and my bf accepts this about me because he loves me and he honors my values.

 

What are you supposed to judge a person by if not their actions? People change and sometimes it is necessary to kick someone off before they drag you down. That is life. I would think she owes just as much to her current spouse. If your spouse is ok with it try and support her. Just be careful becuase the truth of the matter is very few don't fall back in.

 

my point exactly you are not in any power to judge any one if the judger is not perfect. get it. there is only one judge that counts and it's not any of you or myself for that matter. you don't judge anyone that is the point........ period.
