stp, calm down. i don't think anyone has said anything pro-obama in this thread, yet you have like 8 posts arguing with the fictional obama-support posts. if someone here is up obama's ass, i seriously doubt you're going to change their mind.

if you know a few, does "the majority" consist of 2 out of 3?

i think a majority of lower and middle class people are also clueless as to what life is really about.

i'm not saying there's no pro-obama people in this thread, just that they haven't been saying anything pro-obama in this thread, beyond maybe the "rich people don't like him" line way back in post one.

propaganda and people buying into are certainly annoying, yes. but if you let it greatly upset you every time you see it you'll end up with an ulcer or something.

Ah, rich people. I've only been around a few. I dated a doctor's son for a summer and while they weren't billionaires by any means, they were not poor at all. They had two houses within 10 minutes of each other. I had my own bedroom at their main house when I'd stay over on weekends. His mom would give us money when we'd say something that sounded like we were being frugal and his grandmother gave him $1,000 for graduation to spend on fun. It kind of sucked, though, because his mom was paranoid the whole time I was going to sue them for statutory rape and take them for everything they had. When these fears surfaced, we hadn't had sex at all. She wouldn't acknowledge my existence anymore when we took that grand and took a weeklong road trip with it. And shock shock, here we are 9 years later and I didn't make them destitute.

When my fiance was doing graphics for a guy making a documentary in Dallas we went down for a weekend for the premier of the documentary and we got to spend the after party hanging out in the VIP lounge of a snooty hotel club with this ridiculously wealthy guy. He was incredibly down to earth. I learned champagne is fucking disgusting but has a great aftertaste and that rich people drink water from glass bottles (it was the best bottled water I've had in my life!) and eat tiny food and really skinny french fries. And it was so fucking funny, too, we were turned away at the front door because we apparently didn't look right, so we went in through the side door and the way people were looking at us like we didn't belong as we marched right past them to the VIP lounge...

And the last encounter with someone significantly more wealthy than me was my (soon-to-be) sister-in-law's baby shower last month. Her daughter's grandmother lives in a large adobe style house in a neighborhood where all the houses look like that in a golf course. They had a hidden bathroom in the wall and that was really cool. They were really nice, but we definitely didn't fit in. Luckily my sister-in-law is a chameleon and fits in just about everywhere she goes, haha.

 

The definition of rich varies a lot, depending on where you live. In the city where I live now, the cost of joining a country club is more than twenty times higher than it was in the small town where I finished high school!

I am not going to stereotype the rich because I have known some really cool rich people in my life. Yes, there are a percentage that are narrow minded. I have met narrow minded poor folk as well. I am poor financially but I feel rich deep down inside.

I don't whine about who is president because it could be worse. People just like to dwell on the negatives. When I have an issue with an elected individual I write to them about it. In a non insulting manner and I balance positive and negatives in what I write to them. Yeah maybe what you write to them is not always listened too but it sometimes can be influential.

I've been working on a rich mans house for two months (remodel). If it hadn't been for him I'd of probably been out of work this whole time.

He's cool, and so is his wife. And they have a cool dog too.

I know enough about him now that I wish I was him, and I don't mean about the money.

He made his money. I respect him. And wish I wasn't going to be done on his house next week.

The only complaint I have about him is that he only got us a couple big giant jars of assorted nuts for us to snack on instead of pizzas.

They were the best damned nuts I've ever eaten, and they probably were more expensive than pizza, but I wanted pizza!!

Maybe if you weren't sitting on your ass all the time, smoking pot or drinking alcohol. Maybe if you were paying attention in school and went to some university on an usefull course. Maybe if you used your brain a little more, you would be rich too.

They have money. They can do whatever they wan't. You can't. So you feel like a shit. So you hate them.


And sure, there are rich assholes and poor assholes.

 

I am not rich, and I hate Obama. Obama is owned by the bankers, so the rich in fact DO love Obama. He is their man.

The problem is you don't know what "rich" really is because you have bought into all the propaganda. (And I highly, highly doubt the OP is poor.)

Like someone else said, the richest counties in the country all voted Obama, so clearly the OP has not done his homework if he believes it's the rich who are against Obama.

Let's not make this too political. Obama is a tool of the establishment. If you like him, then you are probably more than just a little brainwashed. Go watch some more CNN and parrot the talking points you hear on there, foolishly believing they're your own views.
