Shit, if you have friends just get their shit off bluetooth.

I got a rather odd assortment of ringtones from various friends...

    Blind Melon
    Pink Floyds
    Big L
    Wu Tang

Got Barracuda as the ringtone for my mom.

Not all carriers allow you to transfer ring tones that way.

I've got software now to make my own ring tones but I don't have a new enough phone for them.

    Lame.

Fuck it though. I don't care what my phone rings as... it is kinda fun to have Wu Tang blasting suddenly out of my pocket though.

I dont' care much about the ring tone, but I HATE the way a real phone rings. Drives me insane.

Yeah, you're right... it's plain annoying.

I hate alarm clocks too. Waking up to those just doesn't start my day on the right foot.

I have an alarm clock that plays my iPod now. Having Zach de la Rocha scream "WAAAAKEEEE UPPPP!" in my ear is much more pleasant than a beeping sound.

because some people don't keep their cell phones in their pocket at all times, and a phone vibrating on a table across the room doesn't really get one's attention...

that said, it does annoy the hell out of me when people refuse to switch to vibrate when the phone is on their person.

well in that case, i do in fact use music instead of the ring, because it's less annoying and it's already on the phone anyway, so why not? i'm the only one who hears it anyway.

Used to have an alarm clock that played CD's..... Couldn't handle it. The music would start and no matter how loud it was, it just wasn't annoying enough to get me out of bed, and back to sleep I would go. I missed half of 8th grade because of that thing.

But as for the phone ringing, I can't fault anybody for wanting at least one song as a ringer instead of generic ring tones or a REAL ring.

But I do distinguish between reasonable use of ringtones and just being a fucking moron about it.
