Roadtrip to Canada?

oh i forgot they also took us both into individual rooms on our way back to US and basically interrogated us, had me empty my wallet and pockets and patted me down and asked me a bunch of questions about my trip

i hope that if we go border patrol aren't a bunch of dicks..
but i imagine they would be seeing a car full of young kids trying to get into canada.
definitely not taking alcohol/drugs/etc. over the border though, we can for sure get that when we get to canada.

i got fucked at the border this past june
my friends tried to sneak seeds through and the border patrol found them after strip searching my friend and I
we lost about 1300 dollars in three hours
250 worth of seeds
500 worth of unused paraphernalia
and a 500 dollar ticket for possession of the seeds
just be careful

I live a few hours from Canada so before we were 21 my friends and I would go up just to drink and do whatever. I always had more of an issue getting into Canada compared to getting back into the States. Going to Canada I was asked about 2 minutes worth of questions. Getting back into the states I showed my drivers liscense & that was it.

 

i have been researching this shit non stop lately.. and have been using my moms computer. my dad told my mom today that while on her computer, he looked at the history and said that i was on all these sites about trying to get across the border to canada and marijuana. he now thinks that i'm thinking about smuggling marijuana across the border back to the states hahaha.

me and my mom just made a "list" of items that i would potentially need to smuggle weed across the border and left it by the computer for my dad to see haha. i can't wait to see what he says about it.

 

About 2 weeks ago I was coming back across to the U.S and they told us to go park the car off to the side, and then they searched us thoroughly. Along with the car. I think that they did it because they saw that I had a charge last year for possesion... But I could be wrong because they also do random checks.

 

Nova Scotia drinking age is 19 as well

 

that was my experience coming back from Winnipeg

 

nobody i'm going with has any charges for posession, but i think we'd be guaranteed to get checked anyway, cause we all have other charges.

ya think they'd say something if they found a couple stems and loose weed crumblies on the floor of the car? hahah if so, i'm not taking my car!

 

guaranteed they will find it.. if they search you.. hell like i said in an earlier post.. they tested a pack of papers at the border for drug content

I was stopped once coming back into Canada. Prepare for the worst, a lot of them are serious dicks. I was getting bitched out for a good 5 minutes because I didn't have a driver's license on me... even though I wasn't driving.

@HippieatHeart: i would suggest just buying everything in canada... weed, booze any other things you will probably be able to get in canada (probably at less cost) and then you dont have to cross the border with contraband

 

i went up to canada in '01 and liquor stores gave me the best exchange rate.. think it was a 2:1 exchange.. meaning every usd was worth 2 canadian.. plus if canada still has them lame as $2 coins dont go throwing your change to the homeless without looking through it first.. i think i gave a bum like $10 because i didnt know about the $2 coin lol
