Rockin' ladies appreciation thread

....and of course this reply was expected......so some peeps tend to "defend" the ones who made it only because they look good (eg. Madonna) and have poor musical background and knock the ones who might or might not look good, but have TALENT. It's all about who has REAL talent and who doesn't...but first we have to define the abused word TALENT!

She's kinda hot but has something about her that reminds me eerily of Michael Jackson.

 

As a matter of fact, I dont think Madonna looks that good at all. She aint my type. I am not very familiar with her music either, as I said before, I am not a fan of hers by any stretch of the imagination. But I did see a concert of hers once on HBO and it wasnt bad at all, and I could see why she is so popular. So, you see, I am not defending anyone because of what you say, I am just saying what I believe. As for REAL talent, just go back through yer 17 pages and see the few I DID post, and you will know what REAL talent is.

Ok, I waited long enough to see if this would be posted, and it hasnt. Now, I can understand that maybe these ladies are not considered rockin' , but they do rock in some of their songs. Yes they can be called pop, disco, bubble gum, whatever, but I do believe they deserve a place here. And if you want a definition of talent, these two ladies have their picture under that word in the dictionary.

Here is two of the best lookin ladies ever in music, and the most talented ladies ever to take the stage. Yup, it is ABBA, and one of their more upbeat tunes, Gimmie, Gimmie, Gimmie.

Believe it or not, but I totally and unconditionally see it I ti I here with you!!!....you see, here is a case of of "very good commercial music" made and ESP ARRANGED with talent (there is NO talent in a poorly arranged tune.....Don Costa, one of the world's TOP arrangers knew that all along!!!). I esp LUV Agnetha [spunky woman, spunky vocals, spunky performer!!!, hehehehe] and I personally saw the and live in '74 (I think) in Sydney and found myself 'shakin' my booty' many a time after songs like Money, money, money, etc. .....you see, there's where the difference between ABBA and Lady Gaga lies....the latter would never be able to dish out a tune like "Fernando"....THAT is were the talent thing coms into it!!!......DIIIIIIG!

Here is another which offset has neglected. One of the most talented females in rock history. Pat Benatar. Here she is, not the best quality video, but still good, and 30 years later after she hit the scene. Her and hubby Neil Geraldo ( an excellent guitarist ) Cmon offset, get with the program and salute the true heroes of feminine rock, and not all these wannabees that you keep posting.
