The President cannot pass laws. I guess you mean he signed them. But all of these ideas came from our stupid Congress, not from him. Also, CISPA did not pass Congress.

I agree that in some areas, Obama has done the same thing as Bush, but in many, many other areas there are radical differences between Obama's agenda and the GOP's. The Word 'conservative' isn't defined as George Bush, or even Republicans in general. There are people who consider themselves conservative that sit on both sides of all the issues you've listed. Granted, the true meaning of conservative has been lost in mainstream politics. It's become a trigger word for Republicans to gather votes, and democrats to bash Republicans. In the same manner as Republicans use 'liberal' to bash democrats and call them all socialists. As STP has pointed out countless times....wee need to step back away from the right vs left battlefield. We all know how government insurance works out, and if you don't look at Social Security, we've paid endless tax dollars to this company which is on the verge of going bankrupt.

Energy what? one side wants to drill, and both sides want to steal oil from the middle east. REAL energy reform could've happened years and years ago! In 2006 I gave a speech in my college, of how there's only another 50 years worth of oil on the entire planet. I also interviewed a nuclear engineer who told me that if the government would put solar panels on everyones home, it would've saved us at least 20 years worth of oil. Through all the bickering, we've yet to see much, if anything, change over these last 6 years.

Food safety is a joke! Companies are supposed to be liable for what they put out. We still have GMOs in food, and companies are still genetically modifying chickens,cows, corn and, carrots. NOTHING has changed under obama.

Taxes may be the only place you're right on. MOST real conservatives, don't like taxes. I HATE taxes. Democrats on the other hand, LOVE charging the middle class taxes, to feed and clothe the BUMS of this country, who don't want to work for a living. Some republicans LOVE charging the middle class, to make up for what the rich isn't paying.

OK,so there're not noticeable differances in the parties today --I'm living in the past. BUT--The Dems were traditionaly behind the middle class and the gains made include social security,medicare,overtime for over 40 hours at work,child labor laws,ANY safety net that exists,WPA,CCC that put millions to work on infrastructure in the 30s,womens rights,EPA(that's supposed to do a good job protecting us) and anything else that benefitted/s the middle class.
Who was in office when the budget was last balanced?
Who was in office when we went to war?
Who wants rules and regulations on the monetary system excised?
Who was in office when the world economy went to shit and why did it?
